Now that you’re acclimated to stench and primates grabbing themselves, sounds like you’re totally ready for your trip to NYC.

(I kid bc I love. I love visiting Manhattan, especially when I’m doing so on someone else’s dime.)

Well someone else's dime is a room for one night and some free drinks the night before the meeting.

Though I am looking forward to it...let me know if there is anything I can bring up besides the autograph issues.

This may be too specific of a comment / feedback and a first world problem, but as a team focused collector (Cubs) I would like to see more variety in the autos / relics for a team.

Base relics are great and will continue to be appropriate for many of the games. I was happy to see jersey, socks, and ball relics last year - I hope more of that continues.

I love Kris Bryant, but a Kris Bryant RTOD auto at this point is ... meh. (Still waiting for him to sign post season sets from last year too). Same with Baez, Rizzo, Contreras, Happ, Heyward, and Russell. I loved seeing Wade Davis auto last year. I would love to see Epstein, Maddon, Lester, Hendricks, Darvish, Morrow this year ... or anyone else (priced appropriately). Are they looking at ways to mix it up for teams that have been blessed with a lot of autos to date?

JoeJoe, my main complaint is the length of time it takes to reveal the print runs.

When they sell 254 cards of a player, why does it take 12-24 hours? The fun in Topps Now is the instant gratification. I realize I won't see the card for 2-4 weeks, but giving me the print run in an hour or two is almost as good!

Came to post the same thing. I was under the impression these were ready to be shipped, don't think I'll wait another month. Will be taking my refund tomorrow... I think.

Also, kudos to Topps. This is how it should be done. I really do appreciate them taking strides to make the process better for buyers.

Agreed, glad Topps is doing this. Hopefully this sticks as a policy moving forward.

2 things I'd like:

I think the baseball relics are really cool. I'd like to see them do more of those. Especially if a pitchers does something crazy like a no hitter and they are able to make baseball relics from a ball that pitcher pitched in the game.

I'd also like to see them replace the /25 parallels with a green background instead of purple.

I was going to mention the print runs being posted right away as well, but I see that has already been brought up.

Hmmm. I can't see the dents in the pics, but I do think that card looks freaking sweet.

If you ever want to sell it....

Trying to decide if I'm still wanting this card or had just gotten caught up in the moment.

I have a few Tribe sets to be shipped, and just like tscbaseball posted above, I got the same alert those sets will not ship until April 6.

I also got that notice for Bellinger, the Dodgers Postseason Auto Set as well as the All-Star Rookie Team Auto Set.

I got the same for the Cubs post season set (waiting on 2).

Interesting that they can all somehow ship on April 6th?

So what happens to the cards that buyers cancel their purchase for?
Print runs remain the same for sets?

If someone cancels and they were going to get a /49...does someone that is supposed to get a /99 get "upgraded"?

Can someone at the summit ask how distribution of autos is arranged for sets such as RTOD or post season...do they use a computer to randomly assigned cards to buyers? Is it done soon after cards sell out or time expires or much later? Do autos like the HOFer's go out based on order of purchase? Will there ever be some autos for MLS...even an abbreviated amount of cards like only /1, /5 and /10 at reasonable prices that ensure they are sold?

I love the MLS auto idea. I would have popped on a LAFC auto for their first franchise game and win.

now to wonder if that date of Apr 6 is set in stone as the latest shipping day...?

back to my assumption that they went out to the spring training camps to get these cards signed and they're padding for QC purposes. by that date, the season will be underway and they will have had the chance to catch the players either in FL or AZ.

let's hope we all get our cards by then!

Cubs were Happ, Baez, and Bryant

I believe LADs were Kersh, Cody B, and Alex Wood?

So nobody's mentioned that all these delays are probably the fault of the players right? The Astros postseason cards and autos came out a while ago. Maybe some downtrodden Dodgers needed time to go through their 5 stages of grief first?

I'm wondering if it's one of the two things...

A) Kershaw is taking his sweet old time
B) There was a Cody B. QC issue

We haven't seen a single Kershaw auto and I can't help but wonder why Cody B's ROY autos have shipped but not the record breaking HR and only a few of his postseason set autos.

It is what it is. I don't get all the Topps hate. It seems pretty reasonable to me that signing thousands of cards aren't exactly a high priority for these players and Topps isn't in the position to make them do it.

It’s true but that’s Topps problem; not the buyers. Regardless, I think Topps has learned some hard lessons this offseason. Lessons they didn’t learn after the long RTOD delays last season. It took consumers being fed up and taking refunds to create change.

If Topps gives a timeline for shipping, they have to stick to it or be willing accept refunds. I’m sure they’ll be more realistic about timelines moving forward and take offseasons into consideration. All in all, I think the autograph program will only get better as Topps puts the growing pains behind them.
