Some things to note here:

1. If you are a seller with "no returns" on your listings, buyers cannot return due to "buyer's remorse". As a seller, you should fight these returns, especially if they state some kind of remorse in the messages to you about the return. eBay will side with the seller.

2. This is why sellers also need to insure these high-value cards when shipping. If they are insured, and the buyer purposely damages the card to force a return, the seller can then blame the damage on the shipper and apply for insurance coverage. Document everything!

3. Make sure your listings have no errors in them! Even the slightest error can force a return in the buyer's favor. Try, if you can, to show high-quality pictures of the actual item, front, back, and sides.

4. A buyer cannot claim "item was not received" if you included signature required on your packages and they refused to sign. Again, documentation is key here. For these high value cards, always make a signature required.

5. A tricky situation is if the buyer does the return, but returns an item that isn't the one you sent in order to scam you. Always video record yourself opening the return package fresh from the mailbox! Then file a police report for fraud. These two things will give you the edge in the return process.

I've been on eBay for over 20+ years, have nearly 6000 feedback, and 100% feedback.

I got my 20 Beck Brett's from Vince in FL today. Gonna make some presale buyers happy campers. Even with the correction, lowest BIN is a healthy $540.

There are a few cards I want to buy at the dip but I look at it and tell myself, I could buy 50 Mike Trouts on Tuesday. Luckily I'm sticking to my guns and just have the Baller/Ermsy run.

It does seem like some of the 80-150 cards are holding steady. Ermsy Gibson. Efdot Williams and even Baller Trout are pretty steady today. This is where I think there’s money to be made. If that’s what your motivation is.

Good advice. What selling price would you consider "high value" ?

Anything over $150 is what I do sig+insurance with these cards. Usually it's a bit higher on normal items, maybe $200+, but with the volatility in prices the extra protection is worth it.

Early cards are coming down but are by no means "cheap". The ones pre Shore Griffey that are still being mailed, I hope to find some good deals on as I expect more listings once they're in hand, but wow, we're up to almost 1200 listings, its crazy.

Why exactly do you or anybody need 50 Trouts. You reselling 49 of them? Buying more for the chance at a 1 of 1?

Y'all complaining about the dip but this was all self inflicted by the "i got X 10 packs."

If you buy to collect, there is no loss my friends.

Very nice pickup, what made you grab that many?

First time checking in today and frankly, it was nice not to think about P2020 for once. I'm not going to spend the time catching up on 50 pages of posts but I expect it's all doom and gloom and people saying "I told you so." If you bought in early then you'll be fine; if you decide to flip you'll still make a good chunk of change. If you bought in within the last week just to flip, well... you might as well hold and see what happens after Gary Vee speaks.

Just buy what you like and you'll never be disappointed. If you can make some extra money along the way then that's just icing on the cake.

Just got home. What did I miss, besides two more nice cards dropped today?? The further along we go, the more artists I find myself wanting sets of. Wouldn’t it be great if prices dropped to msrp so I could fill the gaps I have of earlier releases I missed out on.

It's quite clear tons of people on eBay are waiting to get cards in hand to sell(Baller Trout). This then floods the market and causes undercutting. The long term value of these cards are absolutely still there, but when hundreds of people start trying to sell the same card, natural market conditions kick in. Baller Trout anywhere near $100 is a must buy for anyone looking for long term value. If you interested in cards that haven't shipped yet, wait till they are in hand and you can get a card you desire for cheap. That's the Fucci trout for me.

George Brett's my favorite player and I really liked Tyson's card so I loaded up. I figured alot of other people would like it too and it would have some resale. I planned on selling 18, keeping 2 and using the proceeds to guess what....buy more cards!

Once they dip to below 100 I’m gonna stack 10 more.

I'm a collector/investor. So do I need 50 Baller Trouts? Of course not. Did I see an opportunity to make 100% of my ROI in the future? Easily. I'm in SoCal, Trout's huge, Baller's an OG and sending them to Amazon priced at $34.99 each would be the floor. Throw in the $5k, then $15K offer for the 1/1 gold Baller Trout, it made it easy to buy 50. Did I expect them to rise to where they are at now, nope but I did expect them to stabilize somewhere. So a roughly $1400 investment(-1 for my PC) turned into a rough gross of $14,000,as of now. I suppose I could've went with 2 boxes of Prizm Choice, glad I didnt.

If you’re wanting the Baller Trout at $100 head over to StockX. Last 8 sales all under $90.

Baller Trout sellers are sooooo desperate. It might get pushed down to $80. I agree that it's gonna bounce back nicely, but all this undercutting is comical.

I hate to say it but the thread is getting fun again. Good discussion, different opinions, and the lack of certain members.
