So I didn't get a new car last night, but I have to go back Friday and only see finance on options. They wouldn't take my car as a trade in sight unseen only because the air bag deployed. I have to call the collision center today and see if they will release the car for it to be sent to the Hyundai dealership down the street. I do have Hyundai Roadside Assistance so if it needs to be towed, it will be free.

I test drove the white Santa Fe SEL. I didn't realize that mine (until he looked up the VIN and original sale) was a SEL with convenience package. I really didn't like the fact that the speedometer, odometer, etc. was old fashioned and not digital. There were no SELs with a convenience package anywhere in the area.

So he did pricing sheets for that car and a Limited edition (which of course is much more expensive but has the digital stuff). I may end up leasing this one depending if I have to put money down or not. I can't really afford a much higher payment than what I have now.

So once again yesterday my Son's bus was early in the morning and late in the afternoon. We figured out the late part. My Son said that they are making the busses pull out in order of the row they are in which makes the bus driver mad as she is the 12th bus and she was complaining the other busses were slow. I guess that goes along with the fact that she is a speed demon in our neighborhood.

I hate lane assist and always turn it off. I also hate the idle crap and wish you could turn it off permanently instead of having to hit the button each time you start the car.

I also think the collision warning is a little too sensitive like when it goes off as someone is ahead of you turning and you know they will be off the road before you get to their bumper but the collision warning is going off because the radar still detects that car.

Agreed! I do like the camera that turns on when I signal for a lane change so we can see what's back there. I heard Honda switched from that to a sensor/light indicator which is weak sauce.

The car salesman was asking my wife if her Honda Passport had that, but it doesn't. That sounds like it would be a nice feature for those blind spots.

Our scheduled bus time is 8:30.

The bus driver came at 8:30 on the first day. Since it’s been 8:19 or 8:20. Half the kids have been missing the bus.

My daughter in middle school had to sit on the floor in the aisle for 25 minutes while the bus took her across town to soccer practice after school. She said the Cheeleaders, CC team and Soccer team were put on the same bus and the soccer girls didn’t have seats.

Not impressed with the buses so far this year.

Sounds like they phased it out by 2020. From what I read, a camera was cheaper a decade ago but sensors in a bumper+light indicator is cheaper now. There are aftermarket kits but it's nice to have the camera molded into the side mirror housing.
