No, both graded.

Chrome is a PSA 9

SPX is a BGS 9.5 with all subs at 9.5 except the surface which is at 9.

Those are tough to find. We had a whole thread about this card awhile back. I can't remember the situation.

SPX is a premium product versus Graded. When they were released, it was more money to get a pack, box, case. Similar to how the SPA is around 20K yet has many produced. Overall, it has a large following similar to a Contenders does today. Print run is only a portion of the appeal.

Some guy was trying to convince everyone that the card was undervalued by thousands of dollars in preparation for shilling his own copy. I think he got banned for something unrelated.

I could be confusing two separate banned members. There have been quite a few bannings as a result of this thread.

Bowman isnt high end.
That particular one is Bowman GOLD /99 so its pretty rare, actually.

High end would be SP Authentic, Contenders, and maybe SPx. More like ultra premium.
Beyond that, there's plenty of cards to buy. Everything from Fleer Showcase, to Donruss Elite to Certified, and Leaf Limited, and a couple of other Playoff Brand offerings.

Do you think years from now when the GOAT is retired and gets into the HOF, that only the top cards like the SP Authentic and Contenders will be valuable?

He has so many rookie cards that I would think that people will only want the high ends, no? I'm a vintage collector (mostly Mantles) so I'm new to the modern era cards and have never seen so many rookies per player...

Yep - he has 144 cards from his rookie year. There are 44 in the PSA registry.
I think that they will all hold their value. Biggest reason is that not everyone can drop 10-20K on a card. So people go to what they can afford. Actually that's why some of the 2002 cards are going up now. The 2000 are out of some people's budget but they want a piece of the GOAT.

This makes a lot of sense. He flopped in fantasy this week for me. Thankfully I was locked in. Should bounce back this week.
