I am a RC logo collector\seller. His 2nd year cards, only Heritage called my attention due to the RC cup.

Agreed. I was just giving a reason why many would sell/stop buying Aaron Judge. It's the same reason most (obviously not you) stop buying and start selling any other prospect/player.

So I had a card arrive which required signature confirmation. The Postal worker takes my slip and goes to the back to get a card I've been excited to add to the collection. After a few minutes he walks back to the counter holding a plastic bag and says "did someone try and send you liquid?"

My heart sank, I've been lucky and not had any damaged shipments before. A thousand thoughts are racing through my mind. Is this card gone forever? Is this really happening? I was terrified to see this ruined card he was about to present.

I also had a line of about 10 people waiting with about 5 minutes until close. So I just take it and prepare for the worst.

I take the shipping box out of the PO plastic bag. This box has been soaked and is almost dry with a nice musty smell.

Whew...Crisis averted! The seller absolutely knocked it out of the park packaging this thing!

Wow I would've thought the card would be toast, if not for great packaging the usps would've been responsible for another great card being gone forever, congrats on getting it in great condition.

as much as i dont care for BGS, THAT is about the best thing that their cases are for. pretty much waterproof

Seller did a fantastic job packing that card. When I shipped out high cost cards I usually do something like this.

Card in one touch wrapped in bubble wrap, inside water proof mailer, inside a USPS small box, inside a USPS medium box with the same shipping label on both the small and medium boxes.

I would be tempted to crack that card and submit to PSA
