I got a rare eBay steal. It was listed as “Topps Chrome purple ice” with nothing about it being TC Sapphire.

How does that card end up in the hands of someone who doesn’t know how to list it?

Regardless, I just saw what you paid for it. Congrats—that was a grade-A ebay theft (the legal kind). I sure would’ve rather gotten that than the gold refractor auto I just got for $5 more.

Yeah I almost feel bad with what I paid for it. But then again there’s a Baz orange sapphire /25 PSA 10 that’s been sitting at $100 OBO for a while now so maybe it’s not that crazy of a deal

With the insanely low rip rate on 22 TCS that Baz (and the orange 10) are incredible deals IMO. It’s not like 5 more will get listed if he gets hot.
Unfortunately I’ve been busy chasing other mildly pricey balls of yarn.

Got my first card of this guy today

Classic post hype sleeper although his ceiling looks to be a far cry from what it appeared to be couple years ago. Super cheap though so we’ll see..

Yeah, there are definitely some good buys right now. Yesterday I went for a Ben Baller rose gold /10 of Greene. My attempted $21 snipe fell short by 50 cents.
