Raptor seems to be backing up my eyes though - he's a bottom 3 player for them at the moment.

He takes 19 shots a game.

If the goal is to develop Cade above the team, that makes sense. If the goal is to win games, Cade should not be taking 19 shots a game.

Maybe at 12 shots he’s much more efficient and therefore more valuable.

^yeah more than likely he'd be much more valuable this way, at least until he can improve his shooting.

Meanwhile I just realized that both Curry and Jokic are at 70% TS right now... which is insane considering Curry is scoring 32 ppg and Jokic is putting up 23/10/9. These guys are aliens.

Luka back on top of the MVP tracker, with only Joker and Tatum also getting double digit %.

I think if Curry keeps up his numbers he'll start to solidify his name in the top 4 too once GS snaps out of their funk.

Looks like we finally get to see Ja vs Zion tonight. Should be one giant highlight reel.

I was really looking forward to Memphis/New Orleans. Unfortunately it looks like the Pelicans forgot there was a game.

That was a pathetic showing by the Cavs.

And Giannis is still the best player on the planet.

Mobley and Allen usually give Giannis fits. Tonight not so much.

Allen lasted a whole 12 minutes in this one.

Giannis just demoralized the entire team. Came out and punched them in the face the 3rd quarter and nobody could fight back.

I like those 2 - great defenders overall, but Mobley especially can be too timid right now. With a guy like Giannis, got to meet be physical with him first & stand ground. Missed a guy like Stephens in this game.

Yet again the Magic lead at half and blow the game. So over this team.

Also, does Keegan Murray have any idea how to shoot? He's been AWFUL for the entire month.

They were honestly my darkhorse to make the playoffs before the season. Placed a +5000 bet on it even. Haliburton's impact is that of a Top 15/20 player right now in my opinion, they have a ton of hungry role guys, McConnel/Hield/Turner provide vet leadership, they play the right way & seem greater than the sum of their parts so far.

Also Haliburton with 15 assists and 0 TO's tonight ... Which is weird considering he took a 24 second violation with 20 seconds left. I thought (having watched the NBA for 20 years) the player holding the ball gets a TO but I guess not?

I'm thinking this making its way around the interwebs might have gotten Giannis' attention:

He manned up Mobley all night and didn't treat him kindly.

Its registered as a Team Turnover. Doesn't count against any individual player.

Player TO = 9, Total TO = 10

Ohh man... I was feeling bad about the Cavs performance, but then I saw this.

Thank you for making my night a bit better.

HAHAHA, I love Murrays cockiness. Him and Trey are going to be fun to watch if they figure out how to win.

Is taunting just a maybe call to make? There’s a reason these incidents are escalating

It should be when you are pulling that kind of stuff that Murray is with tapping the opponent on the head. Call it as 2 techs and automatic ejection from the game along with a fine. It's one thing to stare down your opponent, but making purposeful contact like Murray did is some street ball shiz.

That’s how I see it too but somehow I can see the league co-signing the behavior to gain viewers. They were a little too free with it. The Rocket players showed some restraint

They've been super inconsistent with it... they called a tech on Trae some games ago for the 'too small' taunt... after that, I watched Ja do it in two different games with no call. There has to be a happy medium somewhere where the players can celebrate / have fun but also if they go too far it should be a tech.

Didn't see the Hawks game last night but agree the Murray 'head tap' on the rook should've been called something. We saw from pre-season / summer scrimmages that he seems to enjoy taking jabs at rookies, which is fine and I like to see some cockiness, but agree that touching them in any way with a taunt should probably be a tech. As for losing last night after the taunting, hopefully he learned a lesson that he better back it up with a W.
