Maybe. I was one of the ending bidders on those two Probstein ones. I suppose the higher than usual finishing value should be expected to an extent.

Without scanning all the posts I'm apologizing if this thought/question has been asked.

Pop reports has the base US 250 Acuna PSA 10 near 5000 now...

With PSA 10s at 105-115 right now is this the peak before a massive come down or does the hype and love of Update trump the fact that scarcity is one thing this card doesn't have going for it?

If anything I see them going up more come playoff time. I don't see a massive drop anytime soon

That would be nice, but I am just curious if anyone feels its on the cusp of being too prevelant of a card? My gut says with history on the horizon (40/40) and a divisional championship in the bag that its not done yet.

I don't see them dropping anymore than they are now to be honest, unless he finishes the season and postseason without getting a hit and striking out 20 times.

The only way they go up is if he has another hot streak, the Braves win the pennant, and/or he gets the 40-40 moniker.

I cant believe the blue brought 11k (and I have 2). They moved in another venue between 6k-7k in the past 2 weeks. There was one at 8k BIN not touched.

Id be thrilled if it was the new number, but I am not so sure.

I am curious if most of the general collecting community even pays attention to things that look fishy and instead just go by what the last few sales on eBay were.

Homer stats this year should come with some sort of an asterisk, but Acuna averages 419 feet on his over-the-wall drives, one of the highest marks in the majors. That suggests he'd still be doing awfully well even if the baseballs weren't juiced.

Bud, why even write that ? how do you know those balls and bats back in the day along with shorter fields weren’t “juiced”. Just shut up and write....this guy doesn’t own any cards and is a Marlins Fan.
