1) I didn't see any egregious language other than "sh!t", but we are talking about murder and violent crime, so hopefully I can have one s-word.

2) I'm not saying I agree with everything this particular man has said, but I thought this was a pretty good rebuttal to the "black on black crime" and the "black people commit more crime" crowd.

Nor does it to me either, which is why I think that each situation needs to be handled differently. In a more dangerous circumstance where the victim is still with the abuser or still in danger, an armed "social worker" would be called for.

I think we can both agree, though, that having trained experts in each individual situation would be a lot more beneficial than having a "one size fits all" approach to law enforcement.

There are a few f-bombs. I'm only passing along the heads up because I did the exact same thing hundreds of pages ago with screenshots and ended up with an inbox full of PM's from members who didn't want to see me take an involuntary vacation. Just in case there are triangle smashers on the prowl, I'd hate to miss out on your perspectives in this thread.

There's definitely more to black-on-black crime than the lazy "Thirteen Percenters" like to trot out. My personal view is that the black community was deathly afraid of black crime, they'd let us white people know. Instead, they're asking us to take police brutality seriously. So I'm going to prioritize addressing the need that is actually being brought to me (as a white person) by that community.

Adding to this, I think Harriot misses two really big implications his own argument:

1. He brings up class but fails to realize that if the discussion were reframed as "how the police treat the lower class," he'd probably get 2x as much support for his cause.

2. His own stats for blacks as murderers and whites as murderers absolutely dwarf the stats for police as murderers. I completely agree that major reforms are needed..........but we seem to have abandoned all perspective on the numbers we're using. Like I showed on the previous page, just today the Washington Post published two articles that when read together show that voter fraud occurs 1000x more often than killings by police.

Drawing from the exact same source we can see that voter fraud is literally 1000x more common than death-by-police (for any reason, all races).



DISCLAIMER: I support vote-by-mail and police reform. But I can also do math and I hate the narratives surrounding our culture wars.
