I really like this thread. Low end aka poverty collectors are what has and will keep our hobby alive. We actually collect cards because we enjoy them and are not to get rich quick from them.

The Davis is in.
AbraCalabro, you were right. It got some kind of refracting effect. This is one of my better base card in my collection. It looks really nice in person with this reflective rainbow effect going. ![]()

^ G-damn that is one handsome looking card. Thought it was 249/249 for a second! Sweet grab, centering looks on point too.

This thread is a perfect place for the mail I got today. Won it for $3.24 a couple weeks ago, and ended up paying more for shipping than I did for the card due to the seller being from Hong Kong. I freaking love this set and would like to get more of the low-end players at these cheap prices. These remind me of the old UD Trilogy Rookie Premiere Patches autos /10. I'm a huge sucker for acetate cards and these are freaking beautiful.
# /50 ![]() Also got this one last week. Paid $4.99 for it. Green Foil /5 ![]() Last edited by SteveO21; 08-20-2014 at 01:23 PM. |

This is my kind of thread just don't collect basketball only baseball. I too collect everything for my teams/players PC not just high end stuff or I should say very seldom high end stuff lol. I enjoy collecting & I think the trading is the best part. Thanks for the thread & sharing!

![]() -------------------------------------------------------------- Check this out, I just got this in recently and I want to thank member, gatorboymike for clearing up my questions about this card. Collector's Choice Jumbo Card - Box Topper autograph: The image is sized down, but it's a huge Jumbo Card and it really is a sight to behold in person. Love that full autograph and it's still sharp, no fading! Also just scanned this guy in, thanks to fellow member BillyClapper for this and many more inserts I still have to scan:

Thanks man, yeah those Platinums are really nice, I'm missing a few Kemps myself. I've seen the ones I need but there's no way I'm paying 11+ dollars and shipping on top of that for them.
![]() This is my second gold Collector's Choice Kemp and they are really nice, I think I'm only missing a couple of those now, include the base parallel. The 5x7 autograph blew my mind as well, that one I've only seen once before and it wasn't for sale. This was me when I was opening the packages/envelopes up: ![]()

Do you need this one? Shawn Kemp Very RARE Collector's Choice "Gold Signatures" Only One on eBay | eBay Not my auction, just saw it when browsing ebay. Also, which do you guys favor, 94-95 Gold Signature parallel or the 95-96 Player's Club Platinum parallel? I think I'm leaning towards the platinum. They were both 1 per box I think. I gotta go w/ the gold signature cards. I think you're right in that they were both 1 per box, but I love the idea of the facsimile signature, and of course (cue Goldmember voice) I love gggoooooooooolllllldddd
![]() Also, WAY back in the day I pulled an exchange card in 95-96 collector's choice that was 1:720 packs. I got the "debut trade" sets, all 3! regular, player's club and platinum player's club. Still have all three full sets to this day! So I have a LOT of the platinum player's club cards, not nearly as many gold sigs.

Now...if they had a Platinum signature, especially with the same effect that the series 2 Platinums had, then I'd go with the Platinums. ...But yeah, the golds are really beautiful in person...not taking anything away from the platinums, because they're also incredible. Quote:
The Spectras and some of those pearly white acetate cards from Immaculate are a pleasure to look at and appreciate. - I also DO in fact need that Kemp gold, I'll keep an eye on it, hopefully no one bids on it because I pretty much blasted my card spending for the time being. Fingers crossed! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Just got these Wilts in the mail this week. The elite is much nicer than the picture indicates and has a refractor like finish.

NICE work guys! Can't go wrong with 90s inserts!
That parallel looks crisp as hell, is that a gold tint, or is it just the lighting? Either way, looks great! DEFINITELY can't go wrong with the GOAT player, Wilt. Is the Chrome base, or refractor? Can't tell.
