If any MVP voter DOESN'T have Judge and Raleigh 1/2 in some order, that's gonna be so much BS. Lol
Almost as scandalous as the 1 guy that left Ichiro off his HOF ballot.

Does anyone know why Baseball Reference does not identify All-MLB team winners on its list of career accomplishments?

The Basketball and Football Reference sites both do for the NBA and the NFL. I'm wondering why Baseball Reference doesn't.

That's what I figured, but with how watered down being an MLB/NBA All-Star or NFL Pro-Bowler is, it would make sense for the leagues to celebrate the All-League teams more.

I don't know about that. I'm a Judge fan but Cal seems legit. Maybe not 60HRs every year legit but still legit.

Posts like these are so dumb. Before this season he had WARs of 4.2, 4.5, and 5.4. He's a star level player.

Yeah the defensive component of WAR is nonsense. The guy who created the metric has admitted as much. It gives a comically inflated boost to certain positions without any substance or merit behind it.

Casuals discovering WAR was the worst thing to happen to thoughtful baseball discourse.

Luckily then for me I'm not a casual fan!

And I don't even believe WAR gives enough credit to good defensive catching, however, in those 3 seasons he also had wRC+'s of 122, 114, and 118. Being an above average hitter at a position that has such a low bar of offense is valuable! Cal has been a great player for 3 years before this past season. Only the CASUALS wouldn't know that....
