Does Hairy get more respect here or from his students?

A-hole neighbor asks to borrow a rake via text. I sit on it for 10 minutes - my gut reaction was to ride it out and text him after it got dark with "just saw this - still need it?" But then I caved and said I could bring one over. So I excavate one from the back of the shed and take it over there. No answers the door, so I left it on his porch. Came home to text him that and he had in the meantime texted me to say he no longer needed it! So I went back over, took it off his porch and put it back in the shed.

Lesson: ALWAYS trust your initial gut response!

How does someone do all of the things it takes to own a home, but not a rake? Crazy.

Riding on the City of New Orleans,
Illinois Central, Monday morning rail
Fifteen cars and fifteen restless riders
Three conductors and twenty-five sacks of mail
All along the southbound odyssey
The train pulls out at Kankakee
Rolls along past houses, farms and fields
Passin' trains that have no names
Freight yards full of old black men
And the graveyards of the rusted automobiles

Good morning, America, how are you?
So Don't you know me I'm your native son
I'm the train they call The City of New Orleans
I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done

Dealin' cards with the old men in the club car
Penny a point ain't no one keepin' score
Won't you pass the paper bag that holds the bottle
Feel the wheels rumblin' 'neath the floor
And the sons of Pullman porters
And the sons of engineers
Ride their fathers' magic carpets made of steel
Mothers with their babes asleep
Are rockin' to the gentle beat
And the rhythm of the rails is all they feel

Age old question...which came first, the chicken or the egg?

New age eBay question....which came first, the lowball offer or the overpriced asking amount?

Like a Japanese cowboy or a brother on skates
Like a blizzard in Georgia or a train runnin' late
I call out your name, girl, in the heat of the night
And nobody answers 'cause somethin' ain't right
Breakfast at Shoney's at $2.99
Saved me some money and eased up my mind
I'm walkin' in circles and feelin' the pain
I'm tossin' and turnin' and cryin' in vain
Like a Japanese cowboy or a brother on skates
Like a blizzard in Georgia or a train runnin' late
I call out your name, girl, in the heat of the night
And nobody answers 'cause somethin' ain't right
Here we go
I'm ridin' at midnight and crossin' the line
From the rain in my windshield and the tears in my eyes
Now the bedroom is empty and I spent my last dime
And the lovers are leavin', I got nothin' but time
I got you on my mind
Like a Japanese cowboy or a brother on skates
Like a blizzard in Georgia or a train runnin' late
I call out your name, girl, in the heat of the night
And nobody answers 'cause somethin' ain't right

Some parents should be sterilized.

My daughter had some 2nd grade girl come to school in a bathing suit yesterday.
Just the bathing suit and shoes

Reading comprehension eludes some people. Passes are determined on a case-by-case basis.
