With the "Spring20" coupon, I could not resist purchasing three Yankees "autograph" sets.

Based on the one time use of the code, I need to make sure I place my full order correctly. I am getting the A's for sure. Not for value, but because that is my team. Other than the Yankees, any other suggestions?

I like the Braves and Toronto some as well. Will Boston be sharing in the Autos?

It says 1 parallel guaranteed per set. Doubt any set will get more than 1 no matter what the print runs are announced as

Im going to come out and say it right now.....if their big idea is to add parallel of each card in 2020 its going to be a complete cluster ^%$#

99,49,25,10,5,1 is 189 parallel of each card. Dont know how many cards printer under 189 last year but there is the very real possibility that there would be no base cards of some cards printed if they are going to print all of the parallel.

And if they DONT print all the parallel then there are going to be some versions that dont exist or a /99 version that could be rarer than all the other versions or unnumbered base with a stated print run of XXX but only some fraction of those really exist.

Now they could give people a parallel as a free card but that is just giving stuff away and that isnt Topps.

This is going to be a complete mess and there will be no documentation about what does or doesnt exist.

I hope they keep this away form the main Now set in 2020 but since the first 2020 Now offerings have it Im kinda thinking they think this is going to be an improvement and its part of their plan.

Now if they cut the /99 and /49 out and just print the /25 /10 /5 and 1 that would be a plan that could work and all of those cards could actually exist for each card.

I'm hoping the parallels in the RTOD sets are limited to 3-4 of the best players per team...probably don't need more than that...some teams will have a PR of under 100.

As far as the standard set is concerned, is it possible they will have parallels? Based on parallels being available in the Top 100 set and RTOD it seems that we are headed there on Opening Day. I suppose they would come up with a crappy plan like buy a 10 pack of a certain card and get a parallel (why am I giving them ideas?).

1/1 B&W for plats is fine and I've suggested limited quantities of maybe /10 or /25 of each base card being available via points earned by non plat buyers. But full scale parallels for each base card...too much. I can't imagine the Topps team has enough personnel to handle that.

IMO they need to inject some life into the brand. Random parallels and/or autographs would be a good start. I'd collect rainbows of important moments, using CC's 3000th K as an example. Parallels should be in addition to and not in place of base cards, obviously. And I was only in for a few weeks, but they were including random gold stickers in the NHL line. It's not like it costs that much to print extra Now cards. As it stands, anything worth buying to me usually means there's an auto version, and I just stick to that. Haven't bought a Now base card in probably 2 years. I really like the chrome + parallels idea they started with Futures.

I collect Hiura stuff, but for him, McNeil, Realmuto to be in the limited auto checklist hurts from the value standpoint.

The first two autos obviously great, but that was a steep cliff after that.

So, you buy 10 packs and have a 40% chance of getting an auto worth while if that is the right assumption that 1 auto per 10 packs?

Lets have some fun. We are going to break these...100 slots at $10 a slot. I know sounds expensive for what could be 1 junk card...but just wait I said this would be fun and it will be worth the $10 entry fee.

How will slots be determined? Randomly...but I don't trust those random number generators and there is no fun in that anyway...Below is the numbers 1-100...these are your slots and you line up as you buy in. So first buyer who pays gets spot #1, second gets spot #2 and so on until #100 (If they don't sell out I will keep the bottom spots).

How Will My Player be Determined? Randomly...By buying in you get a out of print Topps Now card of one of the 100 Top players of 2020 (Card from 2016-2019). These cards will be shown below very soon and even your random draw for your slot might get you something...impressive. So these cards (one each of all the 100) will be placed into penny sleeves and Top loaders (as well as team bags) and shuffled and placed into a bag. The shuffling/mixing of the cards will be done live and just prior to them being drawn so everyone can be watching. #1 who would have already been determined will get the first card pulled from the bag, #2 the second and so forth.

The card you pulled is the player you have for the break...so everyone gets something and believe me you will get your $10's worth.

If you want multiple spots and don't want them all at once you have your pick of any numbers below your first number. So say the first buyer wants 2 slots. He gets 1 and then what ever number below he wants as soon as he pays the $20.

I know this will not go fast at first because you will have to wait and see the amount of awesomeness that is going to be up for grabs. READY GO!

I've been releasing one card a day (up to 3 ATM) as I figure it will be 100 days until I get the breakable packs (Though the value is not in the packs) Currently if you draw the Judge (You get his 2016 Call Up SP #356), the Scherzer (2017 #203 1/1 Golden Ticket) and Vlad (a #137A Autograph...represented by a base card in the draw so it stays in the sealed one touch).

2835 is the magic number on this. Thats the number of possible autographs or parallel cards.

IF they make all autos and parallel cards and sell 2835 packs or less then every pack should have an auto or parallel.

Depends what your looking to spend this year, if you get to 4k the $40 off is a good coupon when a good Auto comes up you may like.

Can't go wrong with free card of the month every month also.

They made 4,902 packs, so it looks like the odds on a parallel or autograph will now be less than 1:2 packs.
