Crazy numbers at this point! Would be amzing if Ohtani could be the first DH to win a MVP (yes I know the chances are very slim). I am surprise there is not more activity in this thread today. Show off you new Shohei cards when you get them!

If Shohei wins the triple crown (leads league in Home Runs, Batting Average, Runs Batted In), he will most definitely win the MVP. I think this is very doable.

A 50HR/30SB season has never been accomplished, so that may be enough to get him the MVP.

He's currently on pace for 45HR/31SB.

I keep saying that if I had caught one of his record home run balls, I'd ask for autograph stuff but in kanji.

He should. He has the OBP leader hitting in front of him and the one thing he's struggled with this year is hitting with RISP which isn't terribly predictive.

Would also help if the bottom on the Dodger line up could hit better or get on base more often.
