Well, w/ the minutes KP logged tonight, he ain't playin' tomorrow.

So if Luka does play tomorrow, he'll have 30 shots on the books.

This is the best thing for the Mavericks in the playoffs, a fresh Doncic. When you look back at the past NBA champions, most of them had rest. Warriors were great doing it and Spurs with Duncan and K.Leonard (before AWOL). The Lakers with Ant. Davis. With exception to Harden almost every star player gets a night off, or rest.

Mavs have the most congested second half schedule in the league. They have 38 games in 67 days with 10 back to backs. Last year they had 11 back to backs over 124 days. I want Luka to play every game as well, but let’s not pretend like some sort of load management isn’t prudent.

He missed one game in the first 33. Now missed four in the last 11. He is fully capable of playing back to back. He’s 22 years old. Didn’t need to sit against Chicago early in the year. Didn’t need to sit against OKC either game. Didn’t need to sit against IND.

Resting up for the playoffs isn’t going to do them any good when they end up a play in team.

Well, the way things might shake out, being the 7/8 seed and facing UTA or PHO in the 1st round isn't all that terrible a place to be.

9 days in December

Really sad Luka didn’t play last night... loved the matchup with Zion earlier in the season and was hoping for another. I’m a Zion guy, but hoping Luka gets back soon. Good for everyone when the superstars are healthy and playing.
