that is dumb that the seller doesn't put the card into a penny sleeve before putting it into the semi rigid holder. If I were you I would cut the edges off of the semi rigid holder with scissors and remove the card through that way to prevent any scratching.

I always thought it was stupid, but it makes perfect sense. if you buy it, what will keep you from swapping it out and returning? its tacky, but it gives you the option to review the card but gives him the security to know if you removed it from the holder and potentially switched it out if you were going to attempt a return.

As I’ve stated earlier, I think he is a member on here and only uses it for inventory purposes. The flaw with your logic is that a buyer should be allowed to inspect the card outside of a case.

Oh I absolutely agree. But there are also a ton of eBay sellers that do the same thing. I doubt they all do it for inventory purposes.

I don't think it matters, does it? I can't just sell a card with a huge scratch and put a seal on it that says void if opened.

personally, as a buyer and seller, I dont like the practice and would never buy a card that was sealed using one of those. nor would I use them for cards im selling....EVER. I was simply stating the other purpose I could see they use it for.

I have the same thing—a gold BGS 9. Regardless of the grade, it’s a keeper for me.

Yes. But it suffers from not being his first Chrome auto and not being a rookie. But I have to imagine it’ll become a bigger deal as Gleyber’s star status continues to rise in Yankee world.

Yep and they can be had for cheap because it’s not his first bowman or his rc.

Last week, a break of 4 hobby set was posted which included an Acuna foilboard. Someone posted an ebay listing with the sets for $60/each which was an amazing price, and I was lucky enough to get an order in before they sold out. Opened the first set, and here's what I see on the back of the foilboard pack:

Looks like it's in nice shape, I will be sending it out to PSA next week.

Still in shock, can't believe I was lucky enough to hit a really nice foilboard RC!

Awesome hit. I bought 20 sets from the same seller last week before they sold out. I've opened half of them so far and hit 2 Ohtani RCs. Wish I had bought more.

Looking for Andre Dawson Serial numbered cards that are his jersey number - either #8 or #10. So looking for cards like 8/8 or 08/99 or 10/250.

Those foil boards are amazing. I’m hopeful to pick one up sometime. Congrats on a fantastic pull!

Default Foil board grading?

Have never submitted a card to PSA or BGS... lucked out and pulled a US200 out of an EBay bought hanger... card looks great, very sharp corners and clean edges... straight to a one touch but noticed a tiny blemish at the the very top center front... was thinking of sending in to BGS bc I figured the odds might be better to gain 9.5 at least with the blemish than getting a 10 from PSA?

Is this logical?

This card has all sorts of condition issue straight from the pack. If there is anything "wrong" with it, don't sub it and just sell it raw.

PS: Take the card out of the terrible one-touch and place in sleeve and top loader. The world will thank you.
