Yep they are trying everything in their power to keep us at home, it’s pretty ridiculous that there are no lockdowns and the pandemic is pretty much over and people are free to move about so let’s just make the prices Sky high and make peoples wages stay the same, bingo the new lockdown.

Umpired my first men's slowpitch softball game tonight. It helps I've played so much over the years. One team was full of grown babies that cried about every call.

But, I'm starting to miss playing. That's what I did in the summers when I taught. I was playing with a full sponsored team that took us everywhere to play. I've had 6 of the 10 teams in the league already ask me to play next year. I would love to, but it would look bad to play in a league I help run.

She has 4 family members already members there. It's her past that will be difficult.

Even the best candidate for membership for some unknown reason gets a "No" vote or two.

It's because the Chief loves my youngest SD since she busts her butt around the fire house and has been top runner on the EMS side for 2 years in a row. She just got an award from the county fire association too.

But you are correct in that there are about 4 families that run deep in the fire house with multiple generations being members.

Yeah one of my Mom's best friends told us that too before we went to Wildwood. I know in Wildwood, Sam's Pizza is up to $22.75 for a whole pepperoni pizza, Curley's Fries was $6+ for the smallest, and I believe Kohr Brothers ice cream was $6+ for the smallest. It is definitely not cheap anymore.

The graduation party was nice last night. I love the photo collages the Chief's wife put together of them; so embarrassing. Of course we supplied some nice embarrassing ones of the youngest SD.

Tense moment as the 4th graduate (the firehouse hoe) arrived late when I was going to get everyone's photo in front of the apparatus and no one invited her to take the photo too.

In all honestly, she didn't have her cap with her and it wouldn't have looked dumb anyway with the rest of them with their caps on.

Business meeting was packed with items. We are looking to replace our fire utility with a new vehicle. We had 4 new members put their papers in for a vote next month. One guy was voted in. Dude is a guard at the Army Museum and an Auxiliary DC Policeman who works security at a Safeway in DC and was shot two weeks ago (thankfully in the vest but he was telling me that this was his second time shot there and he works the daylight shift.

) My wife opened her mouth about the company picnic and got voluntold to lead the planning committee.

And then she drafted me to help.

We pulled out of the Colonial Beach Parade tonight as only 1 person signed up.

And the county is once again pushing hard for us and Indian Head VFD to merge.

1) They have no photographer

2) They are Station 9, not 6

3) In the merger, since they suck and can't get out on calls, they would be merging into us which means our Chief is still Chief and chooses officers and duties. And thank god because their Chief is a moron.
