Quick question for the gang.....As i've mentioned in some of my previous posts i've basically have bought everything at msrp and the margins are wonderful

None the less seeing all these panic sellers unloading stuff for the first time i've actually considering buying some of the older lower numbered pr that i missed cause the price drops are crazy

Houdini had a B/S/T thread on his twitter yesterday and he dropped 10k on older stuff and says he's gonna buy more.....I don't have nearly that kind of coin but i was wondering what sleepers u still see lurking out there?

I've got baller trouts coming on the way along with others from Topps but if they keep dropping or even go under $100 i might have to buy more.....Appreciate the thoughts

the math doesn't add up here folks. Baller Trout with 35,000 PR is at $125 and the Thiele Trout with 13,000 PR is at $150. What happens? Baller down or Thiele up?

It isn't an even market cap as some like to use an as example. These cards could sell for the exact same amount, even with the print run difference, simply due to the look of the card or the popularity of the artist. Not an even measurement.

EDIT - Also, as an added note, I think the Thiele is ugly.

As someone whose first P2020 investment was Griffey Shore (sigh), I don’t have anything to gain by the early cards increasing in value drastically, however, I would love nothing more for them to skyrocket so this dude can just shut up.

Crazy freaking market!!!!

The Trout #63 is between $125 and $150 right now and that is approximately 2 weeks from being shipping.

My guess- next weeks pump with Blake/Baller/Gary will have new collectors coming in and wanting to collect the Trout set. It will also get sellers reconsidering selling and doing the same. Both will cause values to increase. The Baller card is more susceptible to the casual dump being almost 3x the PR.

My guess is that by next Sunday:
Baller Trout- $250
Thiele Trout- $300

So a lot of the general public is selling (maybe/probably panic selling) and a lot of the experienced/long time members here are buying stuff...

Hmm...

This is the one thing that got me slowed down buying up a bunch of stuff on eBay yesterday. Most of the honorable sellers are priced well above the market low on every card. Plus who knows how many times the cards have to change hands before you actually have them in hand at this point. I’m happy with what I’ve built up, just a matter of time before we get to the big hill now. Lots of liquidity entering the market today, 1st of the month next week, Gary V, Blake/Baller Trout is going to draw a ton of eyes, and the list goes on.

agreed, trout definitely the most likely to see bumps across the board

Only buy cards in hand to increase your odds!

I'm officially hunting for a Siff Brett and Chang Rivera today.

That was my guessing by mid week. The the Gary V interview got pushed to Thursday. So my gains will be the weekend after my wager ends. Oh well.

I haven't been paying much attention to these, so I apologize if this is just a known thing...but how long after purchase are these shipped out?

I purchased the Oldmanlan Clemente for my dad the day it came out with the lowest shipping option but order still says Processing...

Well, my experiment failed. No one is willing to give me $45 for a Shore Griffey. Yet.

I think what people are missing, and I keep saying this, is that nothing goes up in a straight parabolic line forever. This CORRECTION was way overdue. I'm still sitting on over 500% ROI on my cards at today's sales figures. People are going to have to let the shockwaves die down from the Griffey PR debacle.

Ride it out, especially if you bought low pre-Shore Griffey.
