Pretty much no player who had some following at the time will live up to that.

Pretty much what I thought about it being total nonsense.

On/Off numbers aren't something you can look at independently and draw any conclusion from

Luka, this year at a +11.9 on/off... positive on both the offensive and defensive end. That's 96th percentile in the league.

+8.4 on offense and -3.5 on defense.

That accounts for an estimated 28 wins.

You can say a lot of things about Luka, the complaining, the lack of consistent defensive effort, etc... but you definitely can't say he doesn't add to winning basketball. The Mavs would be the worst team in the league if you swapped Luka out for an average PG

I ripped so much 2018-19 product and I've been able to sell players in multiple waves while still keeping my favorite Luka cards as a collector.

Pretty sure I sold some MPJ base prizms for $40. I think Tyler Herro was selling for like $50 too. Both are under a buck now. WOOOOWWW!!!!

Edit...MJP sold for $75!!! Holy moly. I am guessing they went higher than mine did. I always sell low if I can.

Nobody will care about any of that without rings unfortunately. He'd just fall into the Iverson, Carmello, Malone, Harden, Paul, Barkley, Russ realm of the hobby. Undoubtedly he'd have a niche, but a 5-6 figure RPA niche? A 4 figure silver prizm niche? Absolutely not.

If he becomes the best player of all time to never win a ring he's just the Dan Marino of the NBA. Marino has collectors, but look at his cards compared to Manning, Brady, Montana level guys. Luka's cards are priced like he's the second coming of MJ.
