It means one of the more exciting matchups this postseason just got less exciting if Embiid is hobbled to the point that he misses game 1. But it may mean other things for those who enjoy the drama of the Blowout forum more than the game itself.

Cs by 15+ in game one if Embiid can’t go. Time to start rooting for the Kings.

Crazy thing is that AD and Bron didn't really go off.

This team has nailed their roles.

i definitely would prefer to see emvpiid healthy (MVPWA amirite) and philly bro over there with intermittent internet issues having good internet and doing his best bill james of basketball impressions (taunting etc.)

suns-nuggets, anyone with any thoughts while doing their best bill james of basketball impressions? (keep that in mind throughout the thread/forum plz thx)

i haven't checked the latest injury reports, is the god available? i'm hypothetically assuming that he is, meaning PHX is a tough out

also in the headlines, bubble murray making his return? aaron gordon is chopped liver

im doing my best bill james of bk impression in sardonic/other mode whilst stoned (strain is One Piece, Wedding Cake crossed with unknown; sweet/vanilla smell literally), so it is what it is
as for my working knowledge of Archer (along with Coen brothers/Kubrick/etc films):

hypothetically assuming health (e.g. Glass/StreetClothes being consistently healthy), the Lakers are a tough out, prove me wrong

basically has been that way since they won a title. health has always been the key to their success. title defense year they face the suns in the first round and are up 2-1 when ad goes down with lebron already having ankle issues. the following year ad and lebron miss a combined 88 games and they miss the playoffs.

I’m pumped for Suns/Nuggets tonight. I expect Nuggets to come out firing and win game 1 but I’m really interested to see how the Ayton/Jokic matchup looks.

Jokic has averaged 28-11-8 against Ayton in his career. Really don’t see Ayton being a factor in this series except maybe a negative one for Phoenix. Either way I’m stoked for this series. Been waiting 3 years for jokic to have a healthy team around him in the playoffs. Let’s go.

Jokic has specifically commented that Ayton defends him really well in the past. It’ll just be an interesting matchup regardless.

If he’s getting torched the Suns small ball lineup is gonna be really interesting. Are we gonna see some KD at the 5? That creates all kinds of defensive problems for the Nuggets.

In all reality this series is going to come down to the non Jokic minutes. If the Suns can win big when Jokic isn’t on the floor they’ve got a shot to win the series. You basically need either KD or Booker on the floor for the entire game

I think the Nuggets/Suns (and, for the most part, the rest of the playoffs) all comes down to KD. If he plays close to his peak it'll be hard for any team to beat Phoenix, particularly if he and Booker happen to click on the same night. If it's an off night, Phoenix is in trouble because they have no depth and questionable chemistry.

Last nights game, the Lakers looked as good as any team has yet played in the whole post-season. Absolutely amazing! Yes, potential injury issues are always a huge concern. But dang, if they can get consistency, look out !

Phoenix bench is cheeks, but we know this. Like you said, Booker's been basically seeing the floor 95% of the game for a majority of the past month. Nothing new.

About the only thing I feel moderately confident in is the over here. But not really.

I think game 1's going to be a bit sloppy, as both these teams try to feel each other out. Wouldn't be surprised regardless who wins.

Phuck it.

Going Suns ML + o223.5 alt.

KD locks MPJ and Book does just enough to make Murray not engage bubble mode, leaving Yoaker just a tad bit overwhelmed shouldering the offensive load.

BOL if tailing. Get bent if fading.

Suns are looking small and slow, lots of easy points for Denver in the paint and on fast breaks. Suns will have to keep shooting 65% to keep up.
