The $1 sale was likely negotiated off-site and the seller accepted a $1 offer from buyer to complete the transaction.

Sorry, they just made it TS 2.0... they had a great way to make blues stay relevant with utility and now just blew it... only whales will survive now... damn....

The PR for the Lamelo will be very small. Probably 50%-75% of the Giannis.

Dont see why you wont be able to buy them on the secondary market. Guess as long as you own it by the time the last challenge is posted and expires.

I think you can buy them to complete it. It would be super foolish if not.

I wonder if they will ever get it right and start giving these NFT real world utility. It's so easy...

Image a feature/challenge that required you own 1 copy of each of the 300 base cards... each set that you have entitles you to 1 box of Prizm at MSRP. Make it an NFT edition, similar to FOTL, with less base and am NFT parallel rare exclusive.

It's a no brainer:
-Panini lifts its NFT with real value
-Panini makes more money selling additional boxes of Prizm
-Collectors get a real product below market prices

This is easy, don't screw this up Panini

yeah, I'm pretty underwhelmed so far. They literally just copied TS with the Lamelo master challenge.

Exclusive box drops for NFT users makes way too much sense. It is so simple panini probably won't do it.

Yea, not even giving boxes free. Literally a MSRP exclusive, if you have “X”.

Also, why not a challenge for the Panini Instant Draft art (bleh), they already tried to give it away at 20% off.

My hope is that 6 months from now they start to figure it out...

The advantage to having a bad infrastructure and operating model is that if one day they do figure it out, then the people who got in early when it was still crap make a killing.

I mean, imagine the price potential on any of these first year Prizm tokens if they granted access to any sort of perpetual real world buying opportunities. With only 1799 base made Panini could get that done and still make the reward very scare.

And this is still just thinking small. By giving these real world buying power, Panini could fundamentally change how sports cards are sold.

All just fantasy on my end, for now.

This is a great idea. Using known products (physical cards) to drive a new and unknown product is brilliant. What's the downside for Panini?

Whatever they're making on cards, they must be making like 1000x that on NFTs. There's so much less overhead.

Not everybody sees this, but the whole point of an NFT isn't to have a cool, valuable collectable.... it's to have a token that has real utility.

TopShot will have a hard time (currently) creating any real life utility.. but my god, Panini has it built right in if they are bright enough to utilize it.
