Received a 5 card order yesterday. One ungraded card and one label typo.

The ungraded returns bug me the most. If they automatically issued a refund and gave a reason why it was returned would be less frustrating. Twice now I've checked on a card before sending it in only to have it returned as ungradable.

Hopefully in the future HGA will give you one last chance to approve their label info. I've noticed that they have overwritten my correct information with incorrect info several times. There seems to be issues with rare parallels that the data entry reps don't recognize.

For those curious, HGA will not grade cards like SI for Kids or other magazine issued cards.

My 60 day results. Haven't looked super closely yet but I don't see any big errors which is awesome. Really happy with the grades (except for the Tua which has surface damage that every Tua Mystique has and PSA has given 10s on) and think the labels all look great. Though, I think they just need to make the MPJ label a standard - black with 1 color accent from the card - because that label style is the best.

Really nice looking cards and labels. I am liking the neutral with light color accents (team or card depends) more and more for a lot of cards.

Nice burrow. It looks nice. I pulled and graded the same card, but with PSA. Came back a 9, but I figured it would.

Nice! Yeah, this one would probably be a PSA 9 too since it got a 9 on corners. I pulled this Burrow a few months ago and last week pulled the base longevity auto Burrow! Rookies and Stars is pretty underrated - base cards are crap but nice shiny autos with some sweet chrome inserts.

That was the last full hobby box I opened and it was fire..besides the burrow auto pulled a ravens green auto /5 and a Herbert. Fussed /75 that graded PSA 10 and it paid for the box plus some.

Pop reports aren't updating. I had a gold /10 ship out on Tuesday, been checking the pop everyday and it hasn't updated.

Received my first 60 day sub back today. Marked shipped Wednesday, which was day 57. Was starting to wonder if they were going get it done in time, but it went from graded to shipped in 4 business days.

Overall I’m happy, everything looks great, no damage, no errors. Wish there was more clarity on the centering criteria. That one confuses me a bit.

Most of the cards I have are pulled myself. My thrill in the hobby comes from ripping packs. Tatum, Luka, and Lebron silver I pulled. 03-04 Lebron was bought 10-12 years ago for like 2 bucks on an eBay auction. LBJ RWB came from the front of one of those $5 Target repack boxes that had a few packs and then a bunch of loose cards back in 2017, I believe. Like I said, I’m pretty happy overall. Next sub due in about 2-1/2 weeks.

Nice cards! If I had to guess the centering issue on the Tatum is top/bottom. L/R looks good but top bottom looks 30/70 to me.

I think that’s probably how they judged it, but pretty much every 17-18 Optic RR I have is centered like this. I think they were made that way and HGA didn’t look at that side of things. Either way I wasn’t getting better than 9.5 overall, just think that 8.5 is ugly on this card.

Can understand that! I’m not as well versed with that set so defer yo your expertise on it and would be frustrated too!

I do not see a centering issue on the Lebron they gave the 8.5 on.

Yeah. Back’s a little off, but not 8.5 off imo. At least that one didn’t effect the overall either.

There is nothing wrong with the centering on the Tatum.

I would imagine there are many grades like that if the graders aren't trained and/or competent in seeing graded sports cards previously. To the naked eye, yes, it looks O/C top to bottom but that's the design of the card.

I’m with y’all now on that! My first post was an ignorant one as I wasn’t familiar with that product but after looking at dozens of psa and bgs gems the centering appears to be spot on with those. This could be one of those times where “AI” grading is too smart for its on good.

I've had about 30 cards graded by HGA with another 20 in queue and I don't understand their centering subs at all. How does the Luka get a 9.5 but the Tatum gets an 8.5? HGA has stated they put the most weight on L/R on the front, then T/B on the front, then the back. The Luka is off more L/R on the front than the Tatum is L/R or T/B on the front. Not hating on either card - both are really well centered in general.

I agree. Thankfully none of them had any effect on the overall grades. I just hope they clean up their centering grades cause I don’t understand them at all right now. Guess I’ll see how the next round goes.

Has anyone heard if HGA will be grading on site at the National? If so, what are the price points?

I doubt it. They’d have to move all their equipment to Chicago, and I doubt they’ve got enough to spare to do that.
