That guy is full of it. He’s missed the single best opportunity and can’t brag about it. I hope some people see through it and unsubscribe. If I were his subscribers I’d be wondering why he didn’t catch on sooner, as a so called “expert” especially.

Don West is the reason that I was tired throughout my high school career. I was staying up until 3am every night to see the next deal. Never bought anything, but it was some of the greatest TV ever produced.

Btw, the thread has been much easier to keep up on this afternoon. No pumping gifs.

The shoe is on the other foot for eBay sellers now. The sellers were cancelling orders because the cards were going up so high. Now the buyers are going to start returning cards that have lost a lot of value in this dip. I will never sell a card that i don't already have in hand for that reason.

Absolutely! He'll become a dinasour if he doesn't adapt and follow the market
trend! He's an investor and not a collector too. So when things go against
what his expecations he dismisses it.

LOL

If the Trout and Ichiro Topps RC's are such great buys why is he just now buying them when they are at the highest price point?

Are you protected from that happening if you wait to sell until the cards are in hand?

No but there's just such a huge time gap between topps shipping. The cards can absolutely plummet in that time. Plus you can only sell cards that are in hand here on blowout which would be my first choice for when i decide to sell some of my p2020 cards.

SCI keeps comparing today's values to PSA 10 pop reports of original cards.....Trout specifically. This will be one of the Top 10 Mike Trout's to own...it will not be irrelevant in 10 years

For better or for worse this rule has not been applied to any of the sellers in the BST forum yet.

There will be people, potentially, myself, going back and filling in holes to potentially create a master set of these for years.

You can tell SCI is emotional about the subject because he NEVER gives his conclusion right away in his videos, even before the intro. you can tell he is salty he missed out, so the POMO is on full display lol.

All his other videos you have to sit and listen for quite a while to find the thesis of the video, this one it comes out in the first 20 seconds. All emotion and salt.

A lot more than Ermsy Trout but I cant stress enough that either value isn't dictated by the other. Aside from total print run, he wasn't factoring in BGS pop reports either. With P2020, you have MANY that wont ever see the light of day outside of complete sets, artist runs AND player runs. Then reduce the number that were autographed which is over 100.

For someone who has only been into baseball cards since about 2016. Is there anything that even comes close to this phenomenon?

Was eTopps like this? Is that the closest comparison? Is that a fair comparison?

They'll be $250 by the end of the year if not sooner. It's been 2 days and it went from the highest printed card to 5th place. It'll drop out of the Top 10 by next weekend.
