Topps 582 Montgomery Club - Page 74

I don't know if Topps have already decided on the content for the remaining smaller card sets to be sent to members this year, but if not can I put a request in for a 2019 rookies set?

With all the recent call ups of highly rated prospects I think this could be a fantastic set, and if Topps is hoping to attract attention for the Club moving forward this could be a great way of doing this.

They did originally say one set would have member input, so maybe we could vote on the checklist?

I am relatively new to this site, and just noticed this "582 Montgomery" thread.

I still own the sealed "$1,000.00" set and the other sets.

I am curious if there will be a second year of "582 Montgomery."

Don’t we vote on the auto set soon??
Maybe we have two 20 card sets to come first, who knows! It’s not like anybody received any communication from Topps after joining.
I’m sure we will see year two....

Did anyone send the stickers off to PSA? If so, did you ship in the plastic box they came in, or did you sleeve them and send in card savers?

I'd never ship without individual sleeves. Too much room for error/damage. They might grade some and leave the others raw floating around unprotected/unlabeled.

That's a good point. I'm worried about the Trout getting dinged up when I sleeve it. I can't sell the sealed set for $25, yet the Trout sticker sell for $50 alone PSA 10

They have not mentioned anything. They've been pretty quiet concerning upcoming release dates or even details of the sets. It's been a wait and see. I think the program is a success and they'll offer it again next year.

I just got a notice from USPS saying I have a new shipment in process. This is on an email that I only use for Topps and that I haven't ordered anything. Anyone else?

I have not receive any incoming shipment notices from Topps.

Maybe another set is on the way?

It seems everytime someone mentions that they have nothing else in order from Topps, it turns out to be an old redemption they forgot about

My turn! I have checked my only two pending redemptions, and they still show as pending. I have a package arriving in two days from Topps according to informed delivery, originating from Fort Lauderdale.

Anyone else?

I have a few packages from Topps, but I assumed they were the Topps Now Award Winners. Maybe both!

Just a heads up, the $1,000 "set" is actually a $1,000 "pack", you could have any 5-6 of several folks on the checklist...

I'd expect a second year will be happening, I can't imagine this Club was a "loser" for Topps.

Can someone refresh me on what we still have left? Is it 2 mini sets, 1 auto and 1 full factory set?

There should still be a set that members get to vote on the auto subject that is included in the set, the factory set with the MC logo and I believe another set besides that as well.

1st set with Auto was around 12/26

Sticker set was around 3/23

I would expect the next set late June.

Value seems to be there for $199.

I would agree that the value seems there for $199.

And the value is definitely there if they announce (and stick to) a cap of membership. But as the price increases and membership rolls increase, it will stop making sense at some point.

But this year... we should be good. If they make these last few sets great, they'll be printing money when Club Enrollment begins again at the end of the season.

I've never observed any of my "582" sets/packs as part of "My Orders" on the Topps website except for the initial $199.99 membership fee.
