I guess in my mind I'm not really sure about the health of Didi. Bieber is going to be a full time starter. Camargo has upside to me. Oneill has a chance to be good also. Arenado may have been too much to package with it but in the end I am giving up Arenado with a thought that Didi is damaged goods at some point.

Carmargo was very good last year, Beiber about 6 guys were after at the trade deadline and is a young very solid piece, O'Neill is going to be a middle of the order everyday bat next year.

Didi is solid but has health issues, Arenado is very good, Gibson is a question mark.

I reality you have had a few questionable trades, I remember that one where you landed 2 aces in one deal where many of us would have paid more then you paid for both for just one of the guys. Unless there is collusion the deals are good. That's always been the rule.

Lyle is banking on the upside these guys hold, and I am getting Arenado.

I get that, but that's still wayyyy underselling one of the best players in the game. Arenado has consistently been one of the best year in and year out and you didn't get anything remotely established in return. There's no reason to trade Arenado alone for those 3, let alone Gibson and Didi as well

Well first off, you're the only one talking about canceling the deal here. And I think it's telling that your immediate reaction is to deflect and try to to shift focus to one of my trades (in which, for the record, I got Archer and Quintana for Acuna, Rodon, LeMahieu, and Mateo. Not sure why that's the one you would pick that one to come back with)

I think this is just a terrible trade. Camargo was fine, but was what, top 25 for 3Bs? 17th for shortstops? And finished over 200 points behind Arenado. I actually like Bieber, but upside is pretty much all he has right now, and it's not top 25 upside yet. Oneill is fine, not very exciting at all

On the flip side, Arenado was a top 10 bat this year and top 5 last year. No reason to expect he'd be anything less for at least several more years. Gibson has really improved and may not repeat last year, but it's way underselling him to call him a question mark. If Gibson's a question mark, what is Bieber or or Oneill? Didi is great but yeah he has the injury thing. Besides the point.

I never said anything about vetoing, but this is a pretty indefensibly bad trade. It's unfortunate it came with a guy who has been in the league for a matter of days

Arenado is a consensus top 10 player in dynasty formats. Didi has been ranked in the 75-125 rank. Gibson varies a lot but has been in the 200s or low 300s

Camargo is high 200s or low 300s. Bieber varies from 250 to 350. Oneill has been in the 200s

Even if you entirely take out Gibson and Didi, this was a consensus top 10 dynasty player for 3 guys that don't rank better than 200 at best. Another way of looking at it, cancel out Gibby and Bieber and you have Arenado and Didi for Camargo and Oneill. Seriously?

It's not collusion, but this is the sort of thing that ruins league integrity

Im sorry Matty boy, but I have to pump the breaks on ya my man. Remember when Archer and Quintana had sub 3 ERA's? Who did you give up again...to get both? I like ya buddy, I think you are an awesome member here, but you run like 15 leagues here and I occasionally pop in on other threads, and if its something that improves a team or benefits outside of your own...you get your pitchfork out. But when you do it, and someone even whispers about it you get real defensive.

Again were not arguing Arenado isn't the best player in the deal. No one thinks Gibson is who you think he is....I would put him at my #5 or 6. I think most guys would expect Didi to fall off as he was breaking down this past year.

But lets look at the guys he got in return
TON- Projected 30-40 HR Middle of the lineup every day bat next year.

Beiber- One of the Biggest sleeper pitchers this year across all outlets. 4 teams submitted trade offers to me for him the second half of last year. This isn't a throw away guy.

Johan Carmago- again probably another guy you simply haven't done your research on. 450 AB .285-.295 hitter 20 HR's.....overlooked simply because theres this Acuna guy stealing all the thunder. Put up similar PPG played as Didi.

Also...ages....pretty big deal in a dynasty

He just gained 8 years pitching, 4 at SS with players who have similar PPG averages and 4 between guys who will have similar power numbers.

Yes Arenado is the best player in the deal....but its not nearly as off or 'bad league integrity' as you think. You didn't trade for the superstar this time....and thats ok....

Elite SPs are 300 POINTS MORE then elite hitters. Both pitchers dealt to you finished that season higher in points then ANY player you sent ever have.

Acuna was the best player in the deal at that time (coming from you) and hadnt even taken one swing in the big leagues. It was terrible. If you would like I will go back and quote the at least handful of guys who made comments on it. You have also made 6 trades in addition to that one, more then double any other team has done, and at least 2 additional ones come to mind that were borderline at best. There are also plenty of guys in the league you have tried to trade with that have mentioned to me that you often massively undervalue players, something I know I have experienced as well. 1 trade you offered me for a player I later dealt was by the far the worst of several offers I had for that player. I ended up getting a top 10 offensive player back in a deal for the guy I moved. Again that is fine....but your opinion on player value is that...an opinion....not the law.

All that said, I know your just off the campus, but you need to learn what defensive is. I articulated responses to your judgment of the deal, nothing more nothing less. When you came back with more, I brought facts to the table, to which you backed down and couldn't articulate a response that wasn't childish.

You often clam up, as soon as someone has an opinion differing from your own, not just me, not just this league.

You're young, you're also still very young minded. Relax and breathe, there is nothing 'petty' going on, in life generally when you form an opinion on something, not everyone will agree with you, if you decide to go public with that opinion, it is acceptable for people to respond to that opinion. No idea where you come up with this 300 point number. That's just blatantly wrong by roughly double what you quoted. There's never been more than a 175ish point gap from the top few hitters to the top few hitters. But yes, we all know that pitching comes at a premium

That's interesting coming from someone that is constantly complaining about how hard it is to make deals in this league, and it's interesting that people apparently have such a terrible time working with me yet I've made the most trades in this league by far. If people have an issue with my valuation, come out and say it. It's cool, we can disagree on things. Or if you just want to PM around and claim other people think my valuation sucks without anyone else actually publically saying so, that's cool too

I guess i see 2 years of Camargo doing well, bieber going 11-5 and O'Neills upside was enough for me. Didi is hurt Gibson is a toss up and Arenado is very good so i trade him in the place for didi being hurt.

Ultimately it simply comes down to two teams worked out a deal that worked for them. Its really that simple.

No one person is the moral compass of the league when it comes to trades. Members 1 through 10. Even more so in my book when it's someone with a checkered past of questionable deals. Again, that simple.
