They have to stop at some point, I really don't know if it will be a matter of days or if it might go on for another week or two (or more?).

They will simmer down over days/weeks and will reignite once the verdict is given.
Likely anything short of life in prison/death sentence will not be enough for some and once it gets rolling again, it will be another round of the same.

I’m not being facetious. Look at the original Michael Brown incident. I would expect a similar timeline/response.

Minnesota can't even do death sentence, first degree murder is maximum life in prison which he won't get

And that incident was built on a lie by witnesses “who wanted to be part of something”. It was a justified shoot by all the credible witnesses. I expect this to be much worse.

90% of the chaos tourists just looking for a cool photo op next to riot police will go home and you'll only have the serious protestors with legitimate messages left.

Someone should release an Instagram/Snapchat filter that puts riot police and tear gas in the background so that white people can take protest pics from the comfort of home.
