This is an absolute disaster. Cities and states have had their chances. They've failed. Things have gotten worse.

Military intervention may sadly be needed if the National Guard can't get things under control. Trump should have been at the forefront of this as a leader and pledged his support to assist the states. Instead all he did was cower away for nearly a week with just the ability to send out a few tweets blaming liberals and governors/mayors for what was going on. Then today he gets on a call and goes on a rampage against the governors and now threatens to force military action. Just waiting for him to declare martial law and to cancel the election. And if he does his cult followers will continue to support him.

Back in the Trayvon Martin / George Zimmerman incident when BLM originated I too thought they screwed up by not calling their movement Black Lives Matter Too.
Those 3 letters at the end changes the whole identity in my opinion.
One much more inclusive rather than exclusive.
I have been a bit surprised that at some of these protests the hands up don't shoot chant has been used.
I thought by now everyone knew that narrative was proven patently false.
Guess it depends on which source you get your news from.

If you don't understand there's underlying circumstances surrounding these protests you have to be blind.
Some entity is doing its best to disrupt society in a completely different way than most protesters want.
This has Antifa written all over it and others who fund them.

I don't see the problem with letting cities and states take care of their own problem. If he had pushed from the get go, he'd have been called a violent tyrant.

You keep saying he should have led. What did you want the leadership (Trump) to do, and what do you think it would've accomplished? He didn't do anything, that's a problem. Now he's threatening to bring in the big guns, also a problem. Can't have it both ways.

I am not going to pretend to know who or what groups are behind this. It could be anyone that is looking to cause trouble. Far left extremist groups, far right extremist groups, anarchists, career criminals, etc. Any combination of them are using the protests as a cover to wreak havoc. That still has nothing to do with Trump being totally incompetent. Any real leader tries to figure out a solution to the problem first, whereas Trump first determines who he can blame. Then finally he acts later once things have gotten bad. Finally he will then eventually will give himself an A+ claiming everything he did was perfect.

No, I would not use that word as that was a completely different political party and situation. It would also diminish the atrocities that that political party committed. My use of the word cult describes a certain segment of his followers that worship him like a god (this is not all of his followers). They will support him no matter what he does, no matter what he says. It is truly scary and something we have never seen before in this country. No other president has been worshiped like this.
