What's up with the Topps Now doggy card? 37k+ printed and they're going for over $10. I usually buy them off eBay but missed the "pre-sale" period when folks were selling them for half that. Oh well!

I haven't bought any in a while, maybe its a good time to consolidate.

I knew Sho had a great year and IG is not the grail of digital presence, but 4x + in a year was surprising to me as well. Kind of shows you how deep the well is for potential popularity, globally.

That is pretty cool and surprising to see that he gained millions of followers during the WBC. You'd think he would have already gained a lot of those followers during the previous couple of seasons when he was doing historic stuff. They must have been international followers or in some way unique to the WBC.

Also interesting, in the "don't trust anyone, ever, at all (or maybe just not PWCC, but whatever)" sense - the PSA 9 (auto 10) auction listing claimed to be a "pop 1 of 1, none higher," while the pop report today shows 2 9s and a 10, presumably this one, so they were right on the "none higher" but I'd be surprised if they were right on the "1 of 1" - maybe, but I'm doubtful another was graded in the interim. And then the PSA 10 auction says that it's a "pop 1 of 5" - even though it actually IS now a pop 1!

Yeah so PSA puts cards with auto grades in their own pop count. So the PSA 9 with 10 auto is a pop 1 because no other atomic refractor had a 9 grade with 10 auto (or higher). It can be deceiving..

TPGs are not the most trustworthy, but I wouldn't read too much into this particular card. It's not known for bad edges or corners. Chrome cards could've simply had a fingerprint cleaned off.

Sure, but nobody gives a crap about auto grades. It is, I would say without hesitation, intentionally misleading to say only that a card is a "pop 1 none higher" when it's only so because you're including the autograph grade.

It's like if I said hey, I've got this card that's graded a 7 (auto 9). Nobody has gotten an auto grade on any other copy, so that makes it a "pop 1, none higher" right? Even though there are at least a dozen 8/9/10s that just don't have an auto grade?

Seems like literally every auto after 2018 is such.

I am usually not too fussy about how an autograph looks as long as the player actually signed it but a nice looking autograph is a bonus.
