Something else has to be going on here.

Maybe Wave 3 is delayed because they are going to go back and put an auto in every pack/box? lol jk

Wave 3 is the first I've done. The prospect side intrigued me more than the veteran/HOF side. I'm in no real hurry, other than being impatient.

I definitely understand the P2020 piece. But looking at the T206 piece, the orders are going down, not up, and still going slower by the wave. It says a lot if they release wave 5 tomorrow and still haven't shipped wave 4. I'd seriously not expect Wave 5 to get to you until 2021 if you order it...

Checklist day! I'm still excited regardless of the delays. Who are you guys really hoping makes the final checklist? As a White Sox fan, I'm really happy with what they've given me so far. Luis Robert is a given for wave 5, then I think it would be really cool if Shoeless Joe made it. And I'm still holding out hope for Jasson regardless of their already being a prospect-only wave.

I know the odds of this are like 0.00001%, but I thought that it would be cool to do a Jasson surprise SSP in Wave 3. Not announce it on the checklist. Make it fairly rare, like 50 or 100 copies or something... as a "no number" base card. That way people with sets wouldn't get up in arms.

Topps should put me in charge of these things... lol

Bought my 8 packs before wave 4 shut down. Looking forward to the wave 5 checklist. Should be fairly nice, but big emphasis on SHOULD. This is Topps after all.

Guess on wave 4 print run? I think its going to drop way down to only 15-17k because of product delays, weaker checklist, and lots of other big products launching over the past month.

I think it'll do better than the prospect wave. Somewhere in the 30K range.

haha just chiming in to say both sets of calcs are correct

wild that two backs – polar bear and old mill – will be rarer than serial-numbered background variation!

also, for anyone doing the math at home...

wave 1: 74,997 print run
waves 2 + 3 + 4: 83,489 print run combined

so big (actually not that big) question is: do we see a spike in print run for wave 5 or does it continue to taper off? i have a feeling this drops below 20K. could even be as low as 15K

might go in hard on wave 5, wondering what everyone else is thinking (really should've been ramping up my investment wave by wave, but not exactly looking to break the bank on $15 packs...)

I think given you have Robert in it, there will be an uptick. There wasn't really anything that outstanding in wave 4
