I also felt like on the last play vanvleet could have just drove to the hoop for a runner or layup because he was past boogie when he passed to Kyle, oh well, onto the next game. Without Durant starting that game the Warriors would've lost imo

Anyone on the Raptors could have blown by Boogie last night. It was rough watching him

Aren’t the Warriors winless at home in the Finals?

It doesn't look like a full blown one.

It looks like he moved his foot (pointed his toe) when he sat down on the court. If it was a full rupture he wouldn't be able to do that. Unfortunately I speak from experience on that aspect.

I agree. There was a moment when he was on the floor and I saw him moving his foot up and down. If it was “completely” torn, he wouldn’t be able to move his toes down. I think it is a partial tear.. but that is just my opinion. I may be wrong. I’m crossing my fingers that it is not a full tear. I don’t want anyone or player to ever go through that.

Classy Toronto fans going nuts cheering when KD went down. One dude was waving ‘bye’. I get that these guys make boatloads of money to play a game, but that was disgraceful

Yes totally agree about van vleet! That defense set up was begging him to attack and take a floater

Thanks for furthering my point.

I guess it would have been okay to start as “let’s go raptors” chant as Durant lay on the ground in pain......as long as the chant was on the Titantron, right? Cheering or chanting while an opposing player is laying on the floor with an injury shows lack or respect and empathy for the injured player. It shows a lack of respect for the game as well. As a raptors fan I’ll never condone the few idiots cheering but I won’t let people act like this is an isolated incident. Furthest thing from it. Every city/team has shameful examples of fandom if you look.

Raptors fans before game 5: We don’t want to hear excuses about KD not playing this series.

Raptors fans after game 5: We would’ve won if they didn’t have KD for a quarter.

Raps fans that cheered should be ashamed that they cheered, but I also understand that they basically could start celebrating a championship knowing that KD will not be able to save GS now. Just my opinion, and not taking anything away from Toronto, but I will always believe if KD played all series, GS would 100% have won the series.

He did nothing missed every shot in 4th except 1. Had 8 points the whole second half. He choked like he always does in the finals. He is lucky that draymond and Klay kept them in it and that Kyle Lowery sucks.

It true that quarter made all the difference he scored 11 points and he also freed up curry.

Also feel terrible for KD he makes all the difference for them. Also getting a injury like that going into free agency really sucks just terrible man.

Posted below in the other thread. Sure there were some idiots, but the loud cheers weren't until he stood up.

I saw that narrative on ESPN. I saw it differently. They didn't start loudly cheering until he was helped up and walking/hobbling away. They also chanted KD as he left. I've coached for years, but anyone around sports has seen the opposing team/fans cheer when the injured player gets up. That's what I think was happening IMO.

Its being taken out of context to a large degree. Toronto is not like that. Im sure emotions first take over and gets the better part of judgement. Then reality sinks in and sympathy is realized. The fans were clapping as he was leaving and chanting KD.

Its unfortunate the media twists it for a ratings agenda.

My take on the Raptors fans' reaction. There was still a play going on when KD went down, a fastbreak where Serge Ibaka earned two fts. I believe the lionshare of the fans were cheering the play, not what was going on with KD. Raptors fans showed their true colors anyways when they chanted "KD, KD, KD!" as he went back to the locker room.

It was mostly realized after a couple of the raptors gestured for the fans to cut it out.

Raps fans showed their true colors by cheering Durant's injury for minutes before the Raps players told them to cut it out. Disgusting, completely disgusting. They were not cheering the play that's utter bs.

I timed it. I watched everyone in the entire building. I was able to determine that their cheering, lack thereof, and/or thoughts were 100% negative.

Minutes? Seems like a bit of a stretch.

There were definitely clown fans who cheered but that was not the majority of the crowd. There were idiots behind me cheering at the injury and you can tell they're the type of people who have never played a competitive sport, had a serious sports related injury or have common sense.
