Can't help but think this was all part of Ohtani's master plan. Probably put it all together when he was sitting in the Angels dugout watching them blow another lead.

$200 might seem meh now, but look at the market for historically dominant players. How much would a 3rd/4th/5th year Jordan Chrome true Gold Refractor /50 sell for now? Given the print runs and the cost of boxes, they are getting harder to find and people are scooping them up quickly.

Buy them now while you can.
