Is there a contest somewhere for "worst card sent to auction from COMC port"? If so, this one wins. I thought they weren't going to waste time with crap like this anymore.

For football I would say the 1991 Pro Set - [Base] #29 - Stan Jones. They have 18 of them and one is now at $.58 (simple mode)

Nah, someone sent about 50 Spiderman inserts you could buy on site for 2 cents each to eBay auction during the first month they had them. That was a colossal waste of time.

Trouble moving stuff has be talked about many times here. What I have gotten from the answers before are:

1. What did you consider "trouble moving" ? Only selling one a day? What % of your cards do you think you should be selling per day?

2. What are you selling? Only high dollar stuff? Only one sport? Out of season for that sport? Only hot player or just commons?

3. What is your price? Some cards just being the lowest does not move the card. Some people do not like sellers that mark their prices high and then run sales all the time. Price is the main factor in selling cards would you be willing to buy that card at that price???

4. Are you really wanting to move them or get a fair price for them? As one member stated: Just keep lowering your price and them will move.

As for me I have cut back on buying because of the prices now days. Stuff has just gotten out of hand for the cards I want. I also know others like myself. I do think cards are not moving like they were a few months ago just what I have seen on cards that I 'm buying. Why is it the price or just that the people that wanted that card has gotten them
?

I picked up several cards for my PC for .99 each that was listed before the auctions for $10.00. That was at the start. I do not feel sorry for the guy. He should have know they were only worth about $2.00

Just do not understand why they do that or price stuff way above what people will pay for it.

Question- when buying cards to flip- does a purchase into inventory, then pricing it afterward move the listing to “recently added” as opposed to instantly repricing?
Or do both get added?

No, it just reprices the card. Doesn't add to "recently added".

Only if you pay the upgrade to Reprocess as Elite will it come back in Recently Added.

Any ideas what happened?

Have a card I forwarded to the auction on COMC. Thought all was set. Then like about a week later I get the card back in my Port with the yellow banner at tops that states:

You have items needing your attention.

1 item is without an asking price, not in a shipment, and not marked 'not for sale'. View items needing attention

Go to Auction History which they are usually setting in the queue for when they live on Ebay. But nothing there but older auctions.

Anybody had this happen to them?

Are you able to price it? Maybe it's locked (despite "needing attention") and is still in the queue for auction. Email them at auctions@comc.com or click the support button if you want specific answers from staff.

Sounds like the card has finished the Elite Processing scanning, and you should now be able to send it to auction.

Yep, 100%. Since you have to Elite it now, you will get them back before you can send them to auction.

There are cards just about every day that either don't sell for .99 or sell for less than $2. And this is months after COMC said they were getting stricter on auction submissions.

I don't have too much of a problem with it one way or the other - there aren't too many that completely plug up the system but enough to make me chuckle and wonder why people spend their money even trying.

There is a damaged 1990 Donruss Rickey Henderson ending in a couple hours if anyone wants to get in and pick up a nice investment piece - I have my snipes ready.

It's just lip service, there's no incentive to actually enforce that. Their fee structure is supposed to discourage people from listing cheap items but they still do so comc just gets to tax the morons.

I sold 2 cards to flippers that had sat there for four years at 30¢ or so. And COMC sent me a package after only 95 days. Progress?

On the Recently Added that I follow, 37% of the cards are within 25¢ of the listing fee on the first 100 cards shown. 19% are priced below the listing fee. Let them tax, I guess.

But that means 63% of the cards are worth more than a quarter, and recently a card I have never seen listed before, anywhere, appeared for me. I had to purchase some store credit to get it.

So am thinking about sending in my $2 cards again. Between shipping and processing and selling and me getting credits to spend and requesting a shipment resulting from those credits I know I won’t see a new card out of it for a year, maybe two. But are those $2 cards going to go somewhere in that year, otherwise? Probably not.

Processing times are definitely caught up, based on my own submissions. Had my two week submission completed in less than a week. Sent in 1600+ cards at basic level and they started popping in 2 weeks. Already had about half processed with the due date of Thanksgiving.

This was it. It is now ready for auction. Been awhile since I sent anything to auction new process.

Much appreciated.

Yup - I sent 700 cards in recently to see how things were going over there.

Due date is 11/29 and, as of today, almost 90% of them have popped and about a dozen have sold. Time to load up a few more boxes.

I have a couple COMC questions for some of you experts who have sent items to Auction.
1. Is there a way to tell if your item was ELITE after it has been in comc a while
2. How long does it take from the time you send to auction until it actually goes to auction.
3. How long does it take for COMC to credit your account afterwards.

1) Price it high temporarily and look on the listing page. If the background is white though, it was probably just repriced as elite, and will need re-scanning.
2) ?
3) Soon after it's been paid, if it gets paid for. Within a day? Just going off memory from a while ago.
