It’s not just about the teams and saying well they just have to pay the minimum salary and can cut him lose. There are more and more sponsorships in MLB now worth millions of dollars. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear a sponsor like Starr not being thrilled that Bauer is wearing their company logo…given all his dirty laundry that has been made public not to mention the way he loves to run his mouth on social media. Similar to Vince he’s a known liability.

To date Vince McMahon has never been convicted of any crimes either…

Also let’s not forget a MLB arbiter obviously saw enough evidence to suspend him for what, an entire season plus more?

Bauer even admitted he punched an unconscious woman. He admitted to that.

Last I checked, the arbiter didn't give him a lifetime ban.

When did he admit that? I thought he was accused of that and acquitted of everything in a court of law. And text messages from the girl show that she was basically trying to extort him.

Just the cancer part; not any of the allegations. Reggie was a cancer to the clubhouse that along with Martin siding with Munson led to the team being called the Bronx Zoo. They still won 2 World Series though with that chaos in the dugout.

So they could only muster 4 hits yesterday and thank god for the pitching (Beeter is looking good but I don't think he's experienced enough to be a 5th starter yet) and a backup player hitting a 2 run homerun, they would have lost another one.

First off, he was never acquitted of anything. They settled out of court, there was no court ruling because of the out of court settlement. So having an out of court settlement doesn’t make someone innocent.

And it was discussed in the court case that he punched her after he choked her unconscious

I didn't realize they played a slit squad game yesterday. This one indeed looked a lot better. They have a lot of good choices for backup players other than Cabrera and Peraza it seems.

Going to be a long year if 2 of the key pieces are already battling the injury bug and it’s only March 12th.

And Rodon and Cortes suck. And Stanton and DJ suck.

No Gerrit Cole mention in this thread?
Nothing the Yanks do on the field is more important than a healthy Gerrit Cole.
MRI and "multiple opinions" really sound dire.
Cole goes the Tommy John route you can kiss 24' season goodbye...and most of 25' for that matter.
This coming from a patient Yankee fan.

I will be quite honest, I hardly pay any attention to the off the field happenings and just try to focus on the games. With that being said it is getting harder to remain optimistic about this team as every day there is a new article about the teams suffering health and which players they should try to sign due to health problems. It gets pretty depressing that people are talking like Bauer is a solution, or Snell for that matter. Bauer has only pitched in Japan lately and you can’t take his numbers against that competition seriously. Snell due to wildness can hardly stay in a game long enough to make a difference, someone like him would cause more injuries to an overworked bullpen and I just don’t see him worth signing. There has to be a reason he is still unsigned this close to opening day. Well that’s just my opinion and I am sure others have a different view, and I didn’t bring up Bauers off the field issues as I don’t want that to be a reason one way or the other whether they sign him.

With all the different places I see selling cards nowadays I wonder why my local supermarkets don’t carry cards. Question any of you guys who visit this thread regularly does your grocery store sell cards yes or no. I remember going back to a different time when I was 10 in 1971 the supermarket always had a card section at the end of the candy aisle.

Did you take two seconds to look back some pages at all?

Your favorite team is the Twins, so why are you even here caring if want Bauer??? Just a grudge against him at this point?

I have never seen cards in Food Lion. Sadly, our local Walmart doesn't sell cards either. My closest option for cards is going back across the bridge to the Walmart/Target in La Plata, MD or heading to Fredericksburg.

What’s funny is the closest Walmart to me also doesn’t sell cards, when they first opened the had a large aisle by the register with a nice card section. They stopped selling cards because according to one of the managers as many cards were being stolen as bought. My Kroger once in a blue moon wil get a few blasters but they still don’t want to commit to carrying them all the time.
