Going back to the comment about "playing it safe" - I assume this was in reference to selling as a pre-sale vs having card(s) in hand.

Wouldn't that ultimately depend on how the card was purchased?
Buying directly from Topps, I would think a pre-sale carries less risk; buying from a pre-seller, even someone you have done business with before...seems risky.

LOL. Salty indeed. I can't imagine how much more ticked off you will be at me next week when prices are even higher. I'll move on. For some reason you selling low is my fault.

Playing if safe was in reference to selling fast due to not having a sense of where the set is going. If you make 10x your money its really easy to cash out and "play it safe". While others aren't as worried about the potential risks and hold onto their cards at return 50x their money. That was what I was referencing.

I guess, I don't understand it. And for some reason he is pissed at me because I said things are still going higher. Go figure.

at the end of the day, these have a cost of $15 to $20 depending on how many you bought

Not everything at all.....we experienced these slight dips for a day or so a couple weeks ago with cards 1-15/20'ish....then they crept back up. Same cycle now with cards 20-50'ish....as long as PR's are low, they will be sought after. I'm not saying all will reach the 1k mark, etc...but they will climb. Look at cards 60-80 right now, heading upwards....these will most likely go through the same cycle.... it's still super early in this project gentleman...

I remember when I put my orders in for 47 / 48.... and kept seeing that Theile Trout 13200 print run... I kept asking, I wonder when they are going to update the website and fix that decimal point - who the hell is Andrew Theile?

Man was I in for a surprise a few days later when I asked myself - who the hell is Ben Baller...

No idea what it would be like trying to get in now and make heads or tails of this...

Remember when 70-80 was high for a Beck Auto'd Gooden...?

i think the best approach is to buy the cards you like, and pass on the ones you dont

Do we really need to quote Houdini here? He can speak for himself.

And there already is a P2020 Only BST.

Not to be a dick, but someone new to Project 2020 asked yesterday in the thread when the price on Mays Thiele was going to move because he'd bought it the night before and it had been stuck all day.

People like that losing interest is a good thing to me.

Bought two each of the four currently for sale. The first of these I have bought so far. If I can sell 1 keep 1 and break even I am totally happy. Going forward I would plan to do the same thing for any I like the look of.
