Girls softball? I have some girls softball team staying at my hotel; most on my floor. They all have little helmets on their door with their names on it. Helmets are black with a red stripe though, so probably not JMU.

He likes to take railfan trips too although he is in town this time with his wife for his cousin's wedding. His wife likes trains too. We exchanged info, so I'll probably railfan down around Richmond with him sometime this year.

My wife has had tons of those. She has an irregular heartbeat that they treat with medicine. Every once in a while though, the medicine isn't enough so they need to do more tests and than increase it.

It was 55 and windy at the time. That storm that came through here on Thursday cooled everything off.

I wasn't prepared for that thanks to the worthless weathermen who claimed my entire trip was going to be sunshine and 70s/80s.

Looks can be deceiving. That is my light jacket. I have a North Face that is nice, but my fire department jacket is the warmest.

That is a local guy. He had access to the railroad ATCS feed on his phone so was telling us which trains were lined up when. He knows some of the people that moderate the webcam.

I would extend the courtesy of helping dispose of the body since it would be done by you.

The one old man was local and helps with the camera from time to time. I had to hear all about his railroad clubs he belongs to and how he is going to help clean the cameras this coming Tuesday. He did provide some good new places for steak and BBQ next time I'm in town. He also did clear up why this burger joint, Town Topic Hamburgers, is always packed when I go by. Apparently, their burgers are the best in KC. I like Fritzs, but I may be biased because of it has a train motif.

He wasn't too helpful remembering some things as he was bragging about the layout to the other guys who showed up and in error said the flyover was completed in 2003 when it wasn't built when I was there in 2004. I think he mixed up that one and the Sheffield flyover in the Eastern part of town.

The 3 other guys were from Illinois I think. I didn't pay much attention to them. I really enjoyed blowing by them as they ran down the street to catch a freight train on the Fort Scott Subdivision while I drove to get it.

You've been watching me for how many days? How much food have you seen me eat by the tracks?

All you would really have to do is wait until a train comes and I start taking photographs. With the length of these trains here, you could be miles away before I noticed you were gone.

Yeah, the long hair guy from earlier in the week did not return.

There was another guy I was talking to today with long hair in a ponytail and an orange shirt. He was here from Hammond, Indiana. He too enjoys going all over the US to photograph trains. I talked to him for quite a bit today too.

I ended up photographing 56 trains today and had another 5 blocked from photos. What a fabulous day with having left at 4:30PM too. If I wasn't getting up early tomorrow to leave town, I would have went back downtown to get on the sun side of the tracks and kept going.

Overall, I photographed 224 trains in Kansas City. I definitely need to get back here more often than every 17 years.

Tomorrow I drive to my hotel in Charleston, West Virginia with a short stop for some special painted shortline locomotives in Granite City, Illinois.

The bold was taken care of last Aug.
My daughter just told me she goes with her to church sometimes. I asked, "does the church get hit by lightning when she enters?"

If you can, make a stop at Pies and Pints while you are there. Fantastic pizzas.

I just looked at the limited photos on the menu. Those pizzas look disgusting.

I like New York style. My second favorite is Giordano's thin crust. Those look like some old world meets Greek meets California pizza garbage.

Noon tomorrow. At that time I will be on my way up to see my besties and their youngest daughter. Don't plan on being home until late. May or may not bring my laptop.

If it hits 0 in your city then the end is near.
