As an Ohtani fan and collector this is probably the best outcome. He will be on a team that year in and out will be in the playoffs and should win a few championships. From a collecting perspective the only better outcome would be if he joined the Yankees. From my selfish standpoint I would have liked for him to join a team in the EST so I did not have to stay up late watching/following his games.

Dodgers have 1 ws since 88 and that was covid year. They are not guaranteed to win any.
