at what point is he labeled injury prone? hate to say it

hasn't played 150 or more games (and will not either this season), since 2016

despite arguably being one of baseballs best, his counting stats sure have taken a huge hit in the last 5 seasons injury or pandemic

Calf is one the hardest injuries to come back from. Takes a lot of time to heal.

Calf strains are tough because they can so often lead to worse injuries. Look what happened with Kevin Durant rushed back from a calf strain - tore his Achilles just a few games later

Angels placed OF Mike Trout on the 10-day injured list with a right calf strain.
Trout suffered the injury while running the bases in the first inning Monday night against the Indians and is expected to miss the next 6-8 weeks. It's awful news for the Angels, who sit under .500 despite having a couple of the most exciting players in all of baseball in Trout and Shohei Ohtani. Trout was slashing .333/.466/.624 with eight home runs, 18 RBI, two stolen bases, and 23 runs scored through 36 games (146 plate appearances) this year. Jo Adell or Brandon Marsh could soon get the call from the minors to help fill the sudden outfield vacancy, but that's apparently not going to happen Tuesday.

Yeah, I went back and looked at this a little while ago.

% of team games played:
2012 - 85.8%
2013 - 96.9%
2014 - 96.9%
2015 - 98.1%
2016 - 98.1%
2017 - 70.4%
2018 - 86.4%
2019 - 82.7%
2020 - 88.3%

Mid-to-high 80's probably is around league average these days. Not everyone is going to be Cal Ripken Jr.

i get it, but simple fact that he will now have probably lost atleast 100 HR's off whatever total he ends up with. Just saying as a fan, was really hoping to see what he could do in a somewhat full season in his prime, and like it or not, hes losing A LOT of his prime years so far
