I really, really, really, really wanted Abreu. I didn't think he'd go this early, but that was a great pick. I guess Cano is an good alternative. He's one of the best at a relatively thin position.

I know with my first 2 picks I want to get a top pitcher and a top position player. So, here's what I ended up with:

[1,12] Let it Sano: Chris Sale (SP)

While I've heard a lot of people show concern about the levels of stress he puts on his elbow while throwing, I haven't seen any signs of that yet. I realize I'm taking a risk in the long term, but he is a top 5 pitcher right now in my mind and looks to hold that position for awhile. IMO he could have been taken before a few of the guys already drafted. Regardless, I'm pleased he dropped to my team.

[2,1] Let it Sano: Anthony Rizzo (1B)

While I don't like Rizzo, there's no denying his fantastic abilities. With a couple of other 1Bs already being taken, I wanted to get an elite one before the position dried up, and I think I have now done so, especially considering the year span.

I'm betting bambam still has this thread open, so I won't send up a PM unless he doesn't pick within the next 15ish min

While he is not going to get as many W's as other aces, he sure get's a lot of K's.....and is a quarter of my team name! I also am drafting him due to his slightly younger age vs some of the other available big namers like Waino and Wolf Eyes Scherzy.
