Also its 99.99 quite a few places.... I think the opportunity to buy now for 99.99 versus what I said, that you won't be able to find it sub 150 is a pretty huge difference.

I’ve been an avid GPK collector since 1986, I think if the print run stays similar to 40th, this set will do very well. I’m glad I picked up at the pre order price, can’t wait to rip it.

Pre orders are back in stock on BO, prices have crept up $10 a box.

40th is back in stock too, at $250 a box, they are rising fast!

Interesting that the release day is mentioned as the 29th on BO vs. the 27th listed on Topps.

Yes I think that is right. Topps states they try to do that, but due to delivery services they do not guarantee it. Just interesting that BO is saying the release (vs in hand or shipping date) is the 29th rather than the 27th. Could just be a typo though.

I bought 10 boxes to rip. But I disagree this set has any room to grow value wise. There’s almost no volume selling in the secondary market and plenty available at just over MSRP.

My LCS has only been able to confirm they are getting 1 case of this. They are trying to get more. For reference, they were able to get 2 cases of 40th.

Since there are twice as many boxes per case of this than of 40th, the allotment of boxes is the same. But the number of packs per box increase 25%. So if this allotment holds true across the board, this print run might be about 25% higher than 40th, which wasn't all that big to begin with.

40th 210,000 packs
Green Day 262,500 packs maybe

Doing some fuzzy math, I'm going to estimate there are about 600 total autos across all configurations (single, triple, relic, American idiot and numbered). If the print run is 262,500 packs, that makes an auto of some variety 1 in 2 cases and the triple autos 1 in 20 cases.

Boxes cost $80 and are selling for $129 not sure how that is already showing they have growed in volume.

I didn't buy any and I disagree. 40th was a slam dunk product and is superior, but those autos and relics offer a totally new chase and GD has a huge cult following too. It's like the perfect age of folks with money and nostalgia baked in, hence why GPK is doing so well now.

None of this really matters until the odds are out. The box prices will adjust accordingly once the market knows how hard it will be or wont be to pull an auto.

Math must not be your strong suit.

$112.62 - 14%(eBay fees) = $96.85 - $80(cost) = $16.85 x 34 = $572.90 - supplies + time = they didn't make all that much.
