Jesus

As someone from Lancaster I absolutely love that they call him Big Amish

Lancaster is much more niche than the entirety of California for it to be a cheesy nickname

Calling someone from California “surfer boy” just for the hell of it would be cheesy

Aren’t the Amish good at cheese making?

I bought a Bowman first /150 auto 2 weeks ago for under $300 and it was authenticated and never mailed to me. Either lost in mail or someone at PSA stole it. It's literally 5x in value from when I bought it and I may never get it.

I've had the privilege of having been to Lan-cus-ter.

He doesn’t seem to mind it. Motions churning butter as a celebration. Who cares?

He walked in first AB and scored a run. His AB hit streak is still alive… for now.

This would be a nice card to have for a piece of baseball history.

Can someone please summarize the sets he's in so far in 2025? I know he's in Chrome as a redemption auto.

I don't own any of his stuff but you should definitely be able to buy cheaper if you're willing to wait for the offseason and things to cool off

Overheard someone at a card show this weekend say that what Kurtz has done in his first 60 games is in the top 5 or 10 of all time. I wasn't paying much attention so my numbers might be off but either way he is impressive so far.

If that’s how you felt then, I could only imagine how you felt on Friday. Oh well. When your mindset is to sell on a certain prospect, you have to take it as a win if you made any profit.

I sold a Bowman 1st chrome Andy Pages blue refractor auto PSA 10 before the season started for $200. Whoops!
But seriously, the spring training headlines were more "Will Pages even make the Opening Day roster?" than "Will he have a breakout season?"

Nicky Nukes. He’s back. Still hitting >.300 and >1.000 OPS despite the HR drought.

Smashed HR #25.

Nick Kurtz last 30 games:

.414 BA (leads MLB)
.504 OBP (leads MLB)
11 HR
27 RBI

His 25 HR this season lead all rookies.

Pitchers been pitching around him, rightfully so after the monster game.

His OBP was still holding up, meaning he wasn't chasing anything. Already a great all-around hitter at 22.

Lately he is getting more pitches down in the middle, his 2nd HR in 3 games now.

Been working on his Bowman Chrome #114 rainbow if anyone has any of the rarer ones. I think I'm up to 48 different ones so far out of the 63 non 1/1's.

this kid is insane. legit can be the next Judge

Nick Kurtz now has higher BA (.313) than teammate Jacob Wilson (.312). Hit for power and average, slashing .313/.397/.645 with an 181 wRC+.
