Fun fact: Jazz’s black refractor #/72 has a higher pop count than the refractor #/572.

Just found that to be an interesting tidbit.

I was looking at MiamiMarlins nice Jazz, and just noticed you don't seem to have 2021? Did Topps nots have refractors for Giancarlo that year?

I really like the 2021 design in the context of a black refractor.

To continue the run - 16 & 17. I hate the fact that 17 isn't black. It was also the hardest one of these I've had to track down. Then when I finally tracked one down it got lost at usps for 4 months before finally being delivered. I think the thing is cursed or something

Correct, they sadly did not make a heritage chrome card of Stanton in 2021

2017 looks awful I hate that they didn’t make it black lol. Least favorite one in my collection

How do they not make a refractor for a player of Giancarlo's caliber? Crazy.

I recall that they recently didn't make refractors for Trout.

They also didn't make an action variation for Lindor this year.

I think I actually dislike the white 2020 more than the 2017. At least the 2017 has shine. The 2020 is the least refractory refractor I own, and I own a bunch.

They skipped Pujols in 2007 and I have zero idea why. He was mid prime that year. I'm not quite sure how they choose who to include

The chrome checklists have always been bizarre. 2007 did NOT feature: Jeter, Pujols, A-Rod, Cabrera, Griffey or Chipper.

2008, despite being 300 cards, did not feature Kershaw, even though Topps recognized him enough to have autographs in the set.

That's crazy. I assume in these cases, it was an oversight/incompetence by Topps.

Hi all. New here and just found this thread. I feel like I have found my home haha. I collect mostly vintage HOF’s but have 20 or so heritage rookie black refractors (including some blue, white, and gold versions) as I love the heritage vintage designs. I will post some pics of all mine at some point to add to the thread. Unfortunately Acuna and Ohtani missing from those 20 or so but hope to have those 2 at some point someday. See ya around
