2022 Gilded
At $350 or whatever, it was great.

Yes. That was what I was trying to convey.
In 2018 Sapphire/20 FF/22 Gilded was a great value. They were awesome and next year they jacked each way up.

One of the funniest things to me on here is every expensive release when people say no one would actually buy it and it must only be breakers then someone from the board will post their break lmao

Don’t take things so literally.

I wouldn’t call one box break on release day a ringing endorsement. Not too long ago a product like this would have garnered an entire page of breaks in the break section.

Breaks page is so dead compared to what it was a few years ago

Gold glove relic cards would seem like a natural fit for this product, no? Topps should acquire a gold glove award from some player down on his luck and carve that sucker up. Of course, they could also cut up some old bowling trophies and pass off some random fragments of that as relics as well.

The “Cut Bling” relic card is also a concept I think could work well as a chase card for this product.

One page for the last 20 days. But better than basketball’s one page for the last three months.

Of the 99 Gilded singles listed so far on eBay, 54 of them feature breaker boi fingers in the images.

I think I figured it out. Maybe degenerate gamblers have hand fetishes?

I didn't know you said things you didn't mean on here for attention, carry on.

Board posts aren't a huge indicator of people opening or not opening product it just proved your previous statements wrong (Everyone cares about returns), I'm sure Bowman Platinum has been opened and I've seen nothing here so posts dont equal volume.

I think you earn the degenerate label if you are listing your $5-10 break hits on eBay before the breaker has even packaged up your cards.

Pretty convenient built-in excuse pal.

Only day two, and it looks like Houdini is already struggling to fill his breaks.

Somebody has a Carroll base up for $350 that nobody appears to want. Pretty rough at $600 a box.

As a degenerate Carroll buyer, no way I’ll pay anywhere near $350 when I’m buying Julio or Witt Gilded for less than that. I like Carroll, but at no more than 50% the price of a Julio, and probably at similar prices as Witt.

Carroll looks like the better player. Aside from that, I’d pay more for Carroll in this product than Julio given that you’ll probably only see a small fraction of him come available thanks to the absurd pricing.

Wow! You are that negative on Julio??? Or just super positive on Carroll?

I anticipate nearly all this product will get broken, as Topps will force it though the system at some price. And breakers will fill slots at some market equilibrium. I don’t think much of this will be hoarded 1-2 boxes at the time in “box investor” closets.

But I could be wrong.

It’s a nice to have, but not a must have for my collection. Particularly because they didn’t use the flagship image. And I’m mostly focused on those parallels.

I just laugh at the waste of packaging. That huge box for two small packs.

Last year’s box got up to $1100.

They will run through $600 for this year’s box eventually.

Unless the state of the breaking is really that bad.

1. Since Adley and Gunnar are only in the "Gallery of Gold" Framed Auto set, and don't have the "Base chrome" autos, they will be much rarer..
2. I DID see a break where a Framed Gunnar was hit, I think it was numbered out of 50..of course, that same box had a Corbin Carroll Chrome auto in it, so it was the most loaded box I've seen yet in the product.
3. I have NOT seen an Adley hit yet
