That’s slightly different as it includes the “75th” aspect for 75th anniversary.

But yeah, those are actually pretty sweet looking (IMO) too. Only had the red (numbered from hobby) and blue (not numbered from retail) too.

Yeah, I agree. I was just pointing out that NBA cards are already doing a "logofractor" type thing. There will be NBA/NFL versions of these before long.

I'll admit I went into this with very, very low expectations. Those were surpassed at the first mention of O'Hearn and shattered with the Mullins/Rowdy chorus. This was actually really well done. I can't imagine a more depressing one of these than the 2022 Topps Chrome version.

I respect your opinion, J. You’ve been in the game for a long time so you’ve seen it all over the years. And you’re right, undercutting does happen.

I do want to add a couple things:

(1) TC brand > FF brand: I have 8 sealed boxes of 2022 FF and I also ripped 4. I love the product but it’s still an inferior brand to TC

(2) Price-point: Cheaper boxes, while preserving quality, generally get purchased more. A lot more people will rip the product, you’ll have more comps (which will uptrend faster because you’ll have new people entering into a position at a higher price-point, basically slowly raising the floor)

(3) FF was a unique situation in which a number of people received free boxes and were willing to dump at (or below) cost because it’s free money

(4) Even with more boxes than FF, Logofractor sold out faster. That already shows you that the demand for the boxes is higher

(5) A lot of people don’t even know about Logofractor yet. You and I are always on BO so we catch various releases but that’s not true of many others

if people dont do the normal race to the bottom, they will hold. When flippers using their moms credit card start going $1.00 below the lowest listed over and over, they will drop

By the way, the MLB store sold out its boxes available for phone orders. I know this because I tried to make an additional order and called them as soon as they opened.

Some boxes might still be available (in-store) for locals though.

Many flipper bois buy things on credit, they need to get some cash back to break even and then they can rest easy on the rest of their stash which is paid for.

It’s actually a good conservative investment thesis, as long as you break even, you are in the green with your remaining stash. Low risk.

I am not a breaker but if I was I would think this would be one of the best products to break. All you really have to worry about is the 10 logofractors. You could give the base packs for free on a random if people even wanted them. No way I can't see even team breaks going well over $100 per box if you do multiple boxes. If breakers do figure this out the prices have to go up. I do think there will be some initial lowbaling at the beginning though as the "free money" people get their free money so basically both of you are right.

A lot of breaks I've seen had at least one coloured Logofractor per box, if not two. That's miles better than the Bowman Megaboxes.

FWIW - this is what I do / newly released boxes with 1 or more Key Prospect and / or RC.
From everything I’ve seen so far - this one is a real winner. Most are complete dogs
