I send all my stuff next day FEDEX with signature confirmation...never had a problem getting my cards there. I just figure whatever I pay with overnight charges gets paid for by selling a card or two after it's been graded.

Yeah mine acknowledges that they have them, they just haven’t entered them in to start them yet. I guess I should have used fedex. I seen a super express for them logged on the 9th and entered the 10th, while mine still sits in the pile.

I doubt the "stragglers" are getting first priority at this point. Although not FIFO, there is some correlation to when a card was submitted and when it ends up being graded.

I guess I am just going by me getting one economy order back over 3 months ago and having my next order be only 20 days after it yet still in grading.

CTD should be information for people who haven't submitted, not people who already have cards there. How long should I expect to wait to get my cards back is what they should be answering. I think this table is most helpful for the submitter that is wondering, 'how much freaking longer?'

They can compare their entered date with the oldest entered date... then be giddy or puke.

One of the more maddening aspects of PSA is they clearly do not grade subs in order. Jewcer still has bulk subs from November, December, and January that haven't been entered. So you could be looking at adding 30, 60, even 90s days onto these #s.

Quick flip grading was made significantly more challenging with the ultra modern base movement. RC cards are one thing, but I have watched some reveals of a few big graders and no wonder they pump base cards and have many on their top 100 list. Good thing I buy what they don’t!

I still can't wrap my head on how to calculate this.
Example 1
So for example say you had the following cards in house for X amount of days: 90, 70, 60, 30, 30. The median would be 60 days.

Example 2: day 2, next day no movement on cards
91, 71, 61, 31, 31. Median 61 days

Example 3: day 3, clear out oldest order
72, 62, 32, 32. Median 47 days.

This all makes sense to me. The problem I have is when you new cards are entered. Building on last example, day 4
73, 63, 32, 32, 1. Median 32 days. The median dropped because you are adding new cards that have not had time to accrue time in house, even though the older cards are still accruing in house time.

So as more and more cards are entered, the median will actually drop.

I did not think it through all the way. Take the difference between the CTD and the median entry date, and that would give you the best measure of throughput IMO.

I don't think there is a hard and fast number of days you'll wait. Most people share their experiences and the dates their order hits the different steps in the process in the PSA Order Tracker thread. I'd look there to get an idea of how long yours might take to hit different steps in the process.

Agreed, though I think whatever moved must have been either Yugioh or MTG. I can't imagine that anyone was submitting Pokemon via the value service from last April through June, since all of that could/should have been submitted via the QGS.

If that's true, then seeing the CTD's for TPG value just crawl along like this is really depressing, since I can't imagine that Yugioh/MTG make up any more than 10% or so of their total TCG volume.
