Do you happen to know when the GNOG lockup expires? I can't find the info anywhere. Not sure if it has happened yet or not.

I did find this handy list for anyone else who may find it useful though.

Draft kings started as a spac didn’t it? That had 2 lockup’s dates.

Either way, GNOG is pretty attractive at current price. Should take a large chunk of the iGaming (non related casino revenue).

Bought a full position as a potential swing but will probably leave some runners for the long term if the trade works out.

I could be wrong. I thought that was one of the advantages of a SPAC

I am wrong:

According to https://corpgov.law.harvard.edu/2018...-introduction/

For a SPAC IPO, the typical lock-up runs until one year from the closing of the De-SPAC transaction, subject to early termination if the common shares trade above a fixed price (usually $12.00 per share) for 20 out of 30 trading days starting 150 days after closing of the De-SPAC transaction.

Anyone in CIDM? They recently acquired Fandor which streams a bunch of indie films and just launched the Bob Ross channel on Vizio. Seems their streaming offering has slowly been getting bigger and bigger.

Jumped in last November and stock has doubled since. For a $1 it's worth a small gamble.

Insane day.

Markets loved the transition of power, but I took some profits off the table. Wary of a selloff heading into the weekend after deep green the last few days, before earnings season really kicks off over the next several weeks.

Anyone invest in mutual funds in an IRA? I have a Roth IRA with Vanguard, but also have a Roth TSP. I use my Vanguard IRA as my more aggressive account. Any thoughts on using one of these funds as my small/mid cap position? I’ve done my own research and I’m a little torn between the two.

VEXPX Explorer Fund (Active)

VSGAX Small Cap Growth Index Fund (Passive)

I use mutual funds for certain portions. I see mutual funds in retirement accounts as the balance sheet of an investment portfolio. I will pass on commenting on products from vanguard though.

Looks like it could be another green day. DMYD dipping quite a bit premarket. If that continues I might buy back, at a discount, some of the shares I sold off yesterday. Other than that might add a little to my position in O, but not really seeing too much to buy at the moment.

Mutual funds get a bad rap because everybody thinks they’re the smartest in the room. I guarantee there are guys on here that think Warren Buffet is nothing special. Just watch your fees on the funds.

I don’t think mutual funds get a bad rap here... they just aren’t discussed in the stock trade forum because by definition they are held and not traded. About 85% of my total investments are in my 401k.

However, Hang on. I will give you the figures:

TTM EPS is .16
I am expecting 50% earnings growth(My expectation is based on their forecast and they have a better history of positive surprises than negative ones)
I have my risk free rate set to 2%.

I think these are fair expectations.

Formula for intrinsic value is:

(TTM EPS*(.07+(Exp. Growth))*(AA US Corpo. Index*2)/RFR

The .07 is the p/e of a company with no growth(remember, we are finding intrinsic value, just what you can quantify)

or

(.16*(.07+.50))*(1.53*2)/2%

It comes out to $13.95 intrinsic value.

You can kind of jumble the numbers how you want, but this is pretty close to the Benjamin Graham formula of determining intrinsic value.

Again, do your own due diligence. This is part of mine, about a third of it.

Ended up selling my 100 shares of LYTS for $9.68/share... a 10% gain in 2 days... not too shabby. Wanted the cash back to buy other stuff. Thanks again JMarch!

I’m not balling anywhere close to your level but I did put like 45 bucks on it so that’s pretty cool. I know I’m the lowest of the low but I’ve been messing around on Robinhood on and off to get an idea of how things work. I also opened a SoFi automated investing account which again, I’m sure makes me look ridiculous but I’m so unsure of how things work.

To be fair, this is the "The Official Stock Market Thread," not "stock trade forum." But, yes, I totally understand what you're saying. This thread is definitely geared towards buying/selling. So your point is more than fair and reasonable.

Right... there is more activity with stock trading (by definition)... so by the very nature of there being more activity there will be more talk about it. We can all post “My biwkly contribution to my 401k posted” but that isn’t very interesting chatter.

I was just responding to the user saying mutual funds get a “bad rap here”. They don’t get a bad rap... they just aren’t talked about.... BIG difference.

I never said they get a bad rap "here". In my experience, mutual funds get a bad rap in the overall investment world. Sorry if I offended you.
