yup looking forward to seeing Brandon Lowe over Gleyber Torres in the all star game, NOT!

Baseball needs to fix this. The way they are doing this is not the way to go to promote all the great young stars in the game today. They need something like a committee for the ASG.

Agreed too many of the good young players are being left out.

100% agree. I have very little interest in the ASG this yr. Torres is but one of many young studs that should have been in the game.

They need to start by dropping the requirement that each team should be represented. Seriously in what planet is Daniel Vogelbach and his .242 average or Paul DeJong and his .260 average deserving of an All Star bid? Those guys aren’t good...at all.

Being an all star is not based off of Batting average.

Both had pretty good careers

Couldn’t agree more. DeJong has the 15th highest fWar in NL. Ie, he is one of the 15 best position players.

His fWar of 2.8 is higher than Gleyber’s 2.6

I am glad Gleyber made it though. I like to see young stars get a chance.

I have read that the Gleyber 2018 Sapphire #699 printed anywhere from 290-400(depends on the page you read). Does anyone have a real/accurate number(card count) on this one?

Also, anyone happen to know the pop on the number of PSA 10's out there so far on this one??

The Red Sapphire is of course just a print run of 10. Glad I have this one in my PC!!! Got the Blue too from one of the sellers here, which is in a BGS slab.

Do you know how many of the base blue sapphire were in the set? I read anywhere from 290-400, but still have not found a solid factual number. Would you happen to know that one?

Also, did you know the BGS numbers on the Gleyber Sapphire as well?

Sapphire blue should be about 285-300. BGS has graded 30, with 23 9.5s and no 10s.

And that Sapphire red is awesome. My favorite parallel of 2018.
