Hey guys,

I just noticed that the playoff setup right now allows for 4 teams. I missed this when setting up the league as I would’ve defaulted to 6 teams getting in to make this more competitive/fun IMO. Also it’s currently set up where the playoffs are weeks 14-15 and 16–17 which risks players sitting etc.

Completely a miss on my end I apologize for the oversight.

First off, I don’t think we should play any meaningful games in week 17. At a minimum I’d like to keep it from week 14-16

That being said, please review the following options and lmk which one you would vote for. Again, apologies on the oversight.

Option 1:
6 teams = Single elimination from weeks 14-16;

**For those of you in Sleepers league this is a replica

Option 2:
4 teams = Single elimination for first week (14) and the championship would then be a combination of week (15-16)

Any other ideas, please shoot me a text.

To clarify, Option 2 is SO BAD that no reasonable person should choose that. I feel like I'm a reasonable person, so I'd choose option 1.

Use it to your advantage! Find someone I like that you hate, we can work a deal. There's plenty of times there is middle ground, I usually only comment if something is really good or really bad though.

As far as this particular thing, why would anyone want to play in a fantasy league with 4 playoff spots as opposed to 6? It's all basically luck anyway, so I don't understand why anyone would vote against their own interests and decrease their chance at placing in the money. On the other hand, this is America.

Yes, in the 6 team option there are byes; 4 team no.

Trade deadline will also be before playoffs begin, so Wednesday, November 28th. That gives one week prior to the playoffs starting.

While I do agree with Sleeper option 2 isn't great, since the change is being made in the middle of the season I had to throw it out to a vote. To have a vote means there has to be another option and I can't think of another one at this point in the season without eliminating regular season games. I don't like option 2, but it at least eliminates week 17 which is my biggest issue with the current setting.

Please continue discussing and voting. In the instance of a tie, I will break it.

I feel ya, I just think playing during week 17 and bye weeks are dumb. I totally eliminated 1st round byes in my fantasy bball leagues this year.
