On another note, I think that this has already sparked, and will continue the trend of flagship rare parallel graded cards. Trouts Diamond Anniversaries, Target Red Border, Walmart Blue Border, Black border, Hope Diamond etc have all made 2014 Betts parallels, 2015 Bryant parallels, 2016 Seager parallels desirable cards to get.

These are the modern day Topps Tiffany's.

Sure but these are non ink RCs. 2009 Trout chrome autos are still at the top of the Trout list.

But I agree Hopefully the big time graders continue to not listen and stick with BGS. The lack of PSA modern competition is nice!

I have a few really nice 2014 Topps Update Betts incoming from BGS soon. Will likely crossover to PSA given the subs.

I would think as far as autos go, the 09 BC Trout auto is #1 and the 2011 finest auto is #2, and the 2011 sterling auto #3. I put #2 and #3 there because the cards have the RC logo.

As far as non auto, I think 2011 update is the card to have. Not the base though, one of the variations, cognac and up.

Agree. The 2011 update is awesome. Love it in a PSA 10 slab. Even the base.

At the end.... the plus is that its an on card auto... the negative is: no RC logo, no Angels logo, black and white picture used (no Angels red).

Sure they're's always a little manipulation, but this is typical of what happens right at the beginning of Spring Training. Popular players cards are going up across the board. People are buying = prices go up. You'll see the big price spikes happen now, and once or twice during the season, depending on a player/team's performance. Hype and expectation typically drive price up, not the actual achievement of an award or ring. Case in point: I bought a 2014 BC BGS 9.5 Kris Bryant auto in August last year for $300 - which was about the average going rate. I sold it on eBay a week after he won MVP (after they won the WS) for $294.

Same thing happened last year with Jordan RCs. Spike for no reason... now they are back to normal.

Same thing here with Trout.... and probably Bryant as well.
