I think they have a legit shot. He fits their profile of who they would go after. The Dodgers are tired of spending. I know Boras wants the moon and stars but maybe he would settle for 4 years?

Nice. With the move, we decided to skip training this year. We'll be back next year though and we are taking my Step Dad who hasn't been to spring training since he was a boy growing up in Florida. It'll be perfect now seeing as how my Son's new school does a week of spring break in mid-March.

It's such a weird situation. Almost a perfect tornado of unpredictability.

He won his second Cy Young last year....but he's entering is age 31 season.

He had the lowest MLB ERA at 2.25...he also led MLB in walks.

Matched his career high of 180 IP .... over 32 starts (~5 2/3 IP per start)

Looking for long term contract... Boras is his agent.

I honestly have no idea what the outcome will be.

I would just sign him. Even with all the question marks. I don't see how you can win the East, especially beat Baltimore, without an effective lefty.

According to Mark Feinsand 5 minutes ago, Snell has an official offer from the Yanks.

I'm assuming it's a different offer than before Stroman but not 100%. All of these beat reporters are so vague on purpose.

I'm just not into Snell. He is going to tax the heck out of our bullpen when he throws. His walks are just teetering on danger each time he pitches.

He's only thrown over 130 innings twice in his career, and has a career BB/9 of 4.1 and a career WHIP of 1.235, 7 H/9. Also is above league average in Line Drive and Fly Ball rates.

I'm also worried we are going to tie ourselves down to another over 30 pitcher for big money for the bad years of his career

Yea that's what I'm thinking as well. If the Yanks can get him for 3 years, high AAV, I'll take that.

I'm thinking that even a shorter duration deal will have to be at least 4 years guaranteed.
As others have said; this team with Snell will be better than without him.
Although the bullpen has some question marks it appears deeper and some of these new guys have real potential upside.

4/125M with mutual options peppered in.

Fingers crossed.

Adding that guy would be a serious move towards a deep playoff run/ World Series push IMO. Obviously health is a big caveat in both the lineup and rotation but that’s a lot of top end arms. I’m finding it hard to believe that Rodon will be a bum like last year.

Stanton looks like he worked out with Vladdy at the same place to slim down.

While it's not his fault and I believe that he's going to do everything he can to stay on the field in the long term, I wish players would keep these types of things to themselves. i just don't need to have that in the back of my mind whenever he gets a day off.

Unfortunately when they need to get views it will be about Aaron Judge good or bad. If I were Judge I still would’ve sued the Dodgers organization for the way that fence was situated.

It really makes you wonder how it never happened before. Maybe if it had, it would have been fixed and Judge would have never been injured.

The dodgers outfielders already knew about it but you are right I am surprised it never happened to a visiting player before, but then again the Yankees rarely play at Dodgers stadium.
