I just placed an order for my final 4 cards on COMC, and cashed out my balance. I wanted to wait for toploaders but who knows how long that will take. Estimated time was still like the end of June. I’ll post here again when shipped. I would think they have to be catching back up?!?!? I know I completely stopped buying there, and a lot of other people have been posting the same.

What's the deal with cards from unpaid auctions?

Will they eventually get relisted after a while?

I have a card from 6 weeks ago, and a couple from 2 weeks ago, and all are locked.

After what seemed like a possible really slow month, especially after April and March being my 3rd and 4th biggest months ever on the site, glad to have a big rush to have this month still be a strong for sales

They have to wait a few weeks to see if someone pays (even late), then they are supposed to get relisted three times. If they don't sell after three, they go back in your account. Email them at auctions@comc.com and they can probably send the oldest one to auction, but still may have to wait on the recent ones.

COMC only a new ePack set or two from hitting Item #100,000,000. Surprised there hasn't been any blog post or challenge to find it like there was for #50,000,000 a few years ago. Maybe they're waiting until it's processed to know what it is.

Because there are no reasonably priced top loaders available in bulk? If they ordered indirectly from China it is a minimum of two months to get them. I believe a major distributor in Portland claimed they would have COMC's top loader issues taken care of "soon" several months ago...

Do not get your hopes up that the shortage will end anytime soon. The manufacturers are in no hurry to flood the market when they can make $150+ profit per case now. Besides, none of them that I am aware of actually own the facilities that make them. If the facility they are using is already booked with orders there is nothing they can do to increase production other than opening a facility of their own somewhere in the states.

I'm amazed a company dealing with trading cards doesn't have basic supplies after 2 months. It's hard for me to imagine there's simply no way for them to obtain toploaders for this long. They are kind of a necessity after all. They have penny sleeves, so there's that to be 'thankful' for.

Just a thought on that - I feel they might have cooled their heels on these "milestones" because while it was showing progress and all, it was also giving the impression that COMC was becoming less a place to buy and sell cards and more a place for old cards to go and die. As those numbers get bigger and bigger, they may be worried that folks will get the impression that cards go in but don't come out.

Or, it could be that marking milestones was a "Tim thing" and now that Julia is running day to day operations, she doesn't watch for or care about such things.

Or, we could blame COVID...I mean, that seems to be a theme at COMC, after all...

Just received my 283 card order that was requested on 1/6/2021 jI got the shipping refunded.

Only one issue: They had the wrong players listed for the card. My mistake for not looking at it real good. It was an action photo so I do not look at it close enough.

Yeah, COMC really shot themselves in the foot. Even if one says they didn't pull the trigger. They at least didn't administer the bandage until it was much too late. I'm expecting a terrible rest of the year for my sales on COMC. I think it all stems from their shipping debacle. I don't think people trust them.

However, people have short memories.

So... on the buying end, I keep on looking for deals, and hope the market doesn't crash by the time people start going hog wild on COMC again. I have also found some really high prices. But if I keep looking, I will find sellers who are dumping at crazy low prices. I have to keep looking every day, and sometimes get lucky. But I'll find cards at 50% of recent comps, even less. I just have to look every day, sometimes I look 2-3 times a day. Perusing COMC is like work to me now. But work I enjoy.

I'm just trying to use the shipping credit they sent me to pick cards for my PC, and some of the prices on some 20/21 NBA rookies are still high. I could get an Obi Toppin Prizm base RC for $5 on ebay and a seller turned down my $8 offer on COMC.

I'm not surprised after current-year submissions were suspended, and the other submission levels aren't time-guaranteed. Over 17,000 Panini UFC listings on ebay, so that is where the action is.
